The staff was amazing, they were all very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast options are all great. Also, they offer spa on- site which made it very convenient for me after the long exploring days. My last massage and facial were with Malini, she was fantastic.

A little off the beaten path, not much to walk to but other than that I really enjoyed my little bungalow. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The privacy was really nice, the bed far more comfortable than expected. It was spacious given the private patio I had and breakfast every morning by the pool was lovely.

The facilities were run down but the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our requests. One thing to note is that Canvas Escape Resort is located a bit further outside of Ubud so it takes about 25 mins by car (considering the traffic).

Absolutely the best place I have ever stayed. The staff were so welcoming and friendly I’ve never experienced anything like it. They made us feel like we were family. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for a less hustle and bustle experience in Bali, this is your place. Not as many options for shopping but it’s great for getting a closer look at actual Bali. Again the best part about this place is the staff. So amazing

Property was not quite as described,room was very lovely but Property bit dated , bit isolated, and very expensive to get anywhere from there like shopping centre, staff were not very knowledgeable in simple things like getting us transport or where things were like shops atms dining, they were very friendly and tried to help

We really liked the style of the villas and resort. Staff was awesome and always tried to help us. One small detail which was bit disappointing is the fact there is not wardrobe or any space inside the villa to hang you clothes or put at least. Bathroom was a bit used/dirt but nothing serious. Biggest issue was that they have a cocks and chicken in the area and they are doing such a loud noise from 1am till morning. We had a really hard time to sleep and needed to use ear plugs. Overall it’s a really nice place and awesome staff.

From the moment I arrived till the moment I left, I felt like I was part of the Canva Escape family. The cottages are nice, modern and have everything you need. What is special about this place is the staff. They are warm, friendly, caring and really make sure you have everything you could possibily need. What an amazing team! I felt so welcome and taken care of. As a female solotraveller it felt like a safe environment and I would gladly visit again. If you would like to spend your time exploring Ubud, please know that it will take you a 15-20 min drive to get into town. You can use Grab for your ride. If you would like some peace and quiet when you come back from Ubud, this is the place to be!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff here. They were welcoming and accommodating. They helped arrange safe transport. The coffee here is good. It is not suitable for people with limited mobility. I don’t do well on stairs and uneven ground and had to navigate these constantly while on the property, as with the rest of Bali that we saw. Dining options were acceptable and not too expensive. You have to let them know in advance if you want breakfast or an evening meal. They hooked us up with a nearby restaurant that provided transport and outstanding meals and ambience but at a higher price point. Even with my mobility issues I would book with them again if we ever returned to the Ubud area. One thing I really appreciated was the private and tranquil atmosphere even though the property is located on a busy road. I loved the tiny chickens that inhabit the property. They hatched two chicks during our stay, and that was delightful. We also saw a large lizard. I recommend you choose the villa over the regular rooms.

Quiet, Cozy, and Hospitable

Great stay at Canvas Resort. Beautiful little property with a pool. The villa was nicely decorated and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and kind. Internet worked well, too! I would definitely recommend Canvas to anyone looking for a quiet place to rest in Ubud.

Canvas hotel review

Excellent cosy hotel with friendly staff. Parking with car is possible but the road leading to the hotel is a very narrow dirt road. Breakfast, you create your own meal from a selection. Only downside of my stay, I was unable to use the bathtub as there was never enough warm water to fill it.

Had the most wonderful experience in Canvas Escape. The staffs are so friendly and professional. They remembered all the guests names by hard which was incredible! Did the 90min spa treatment in their in-house spa, it was heavenly. The standard of the spa treatment is better those of international brands. We stayed in the Superior Villa, it is spacious and value for money. The daily breakfast is simply delicious. The entire experience at the resort has been the best in all our years of travel! We will certainly visit Canvas Escape again!!!

The room was nice and big, but there was a little snake in the bathroom, attention to detail for cleanliness could be better, the photos of outside of the property were better than what it actually was (bit of a catfish) theres also roosters that go off at about 4 in the morning, how ever beds were confy and the staff were friendly

Love it!

This place is awesome! I stayed in the villa with a private pool. The outdoor bathroom is cool and unique. Monkeys are around in the early morning and late afternoon. The staff are so friendly and speak good English and are super helpful with scooter hire etc. The room was spacious and clean. Pool was amazing and didn’t smell like chlorine. There are some ants, frogs and lizards around but that doesn’t bother me at all.

The staff at Canvas treats you like family and makes you feel like you are at home while away from home. They will get out of the way to accommodate for you and make you feel welcomed. The little resort is very beautiful, the rooms pretty spacious and fancy, the bedding was the the most comfortable we had in all our trip and did I say 4 large pillows!!! The bathroom was super nice with a shower with amazing pressure and hot water that doesn't run! Unfortunately we didn't make time for taking a bath but the large tub looked amazing!!! Breakfast was included and it was so good!! They have three amazing options catering for everyone and the portions were very generous!! They also have a very nice spa and the massages are heavenly! Thank you Canvas resort you guys are amazing!

Poor stay

The service was nice. But the hotel was very poor and need an upgrade. Filled with bugs and the pool is dirty. Awful smell in the bathroom, maybe the vent is the same for all bathrooms? It smelled poop all the time. Room was okay and large. The two hotel birds started singing early in the morning. The hotel is far away from everything.. we changed hotel after 1 night. Comfy beds and netflix!

As beautiful as this property was (lots of plants, flowers and garden views) the outdoor showers for each private space was a bit more annoying than I expected. Mosquitoes were NEVER ENDING. I had geckos everywhere in my space. Came back to my space with animal poop on my bed, almost every single night. Woke up one morning with poop on my pillow. Took a shower, more poop on the bed. Left and came back, POOP THERE AGAIN! They were pretty apologetic and quick to change the sheets, but overall, if you are not a fan of nature in it’s highest form, this place is not for you. Plus, the neighborhood is surrounded with roosters. Be prepared to be woken up throughout the early morning. It’s also not an area to walk around and sight see. No sidewalks or easy in and out for pedestrians. Impossible to explore the area without worrying about traffic.

Struttura carina in un borgo vicino ubud, necessita di uno scooter per poterla visitare, proposto a ottimi prezzi direttamente dalla struttura… la struttura è molto carina, le stanza son grandi anche se poco rifinite, in una delle due docce spesso mancava l acqua calda e un dispositivo elettronico che gestiva la tv emetteva rumori fastidiosi durante tutta la notte, alcuni dettagli sarebbero da rivedere ma tuttavia ottimo posto per fare qualche notte
