Lovely little pub hotel with a lot of history. The room was clean the bathroom was large with a wonderful bathtub. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Only downside of the stay was the food, as part of a chain the meals are all instant or microwave options which, though arrive very fast and hot just don't compete with something made fresh.

Charming but Small

The room was too small for the number of nights we were there. However, the staff kept it clean and serviced daily. Our room was on the ground floor so we did not have to climb stairs with our luggage. That was a plus.

The hotel is located in a quiet village. Inside it has many nice period features. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The bar area is relaxed and food is well prepared and offers good options. Food and wine were reasonably priced. Rooms are well equiped and of a good size.

Excellent hotel and staff

Hotel was in a good location, easy off road parking, clean comfortable room, great staff. Full english breakfast was freshly cooked with lots of healthy options available.

The exterior was tired and required attention. Areas were overgrown with shrubs..broken outside table with tape around to prevent being sat on, however it looked dreadful. In the dining area the table was very sticky. The staff though were very attentive and polite so we thank you for that.

Parking was great, service for food in the evening was absolutely terrible. The restaurant only had one chef on. Waited 1 hour 50 before i had to go up and ask for my starter which was chicken strips. Not one of the staff members come up to me and apologise about the situation. I ended cancelling my food and not eating in there again on my 3 night stay. ive also asked for a vat invoice which i still havent got. Rooms are good overall.

We stayed one night at this delightful pub - we dined at the hotel restaurant and the meal and service was excellent - room was a luxury superior room and it was really nice - plenty of room for luggage and very quiet - bed was very comfortable and well appointed - - free off street parking supplied - enjoyed our stay

Nice large room and bathroom Large wardrobe Room quite dark and lights not very bright Bed good though pillows too hard Light in entrance to Coach House on too long as light comes under the room door Shower good though doesn't drain well Only had the continental breakfast which was great value with plenty of choice

Really friendly staff, clean room an easy check in . Breakfast was lacking some options at the buffet bar, which weren’t replenished when they ran out. Room was clean but a bit tired.

Okay for the money

Okay place to stay for an overnight visit. Large room with comfortable king size bed. Good value but shabby in places and room had extractor fan noise which was on until late evening and back on at 8am waking us in the morning from what we guessed was the kitchen. Directly opposite the village church.
