I treated myself to this place. My room was very nicely furnished. The resort is excellent. I really enjoyed the breakfast. The staff at reception and in the dining room were excellent. It was a nice surprise at poolside to see the hot air balloons take to the air on the other side of the river.

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Riverside Boutique hotel and we had a great time. We were well looked after, the facilities were excellent and the staff very helpful. Food was first class at all meals.

We were first greeted by Air who welcomed us warmly and helped us with many practical things throughout our stay. The restaurant was amazing, we never ate anywhere else and we’re looking forward to each meal. Never ate the same thing twice. Pool was excellent and massages too. Beautiful garden and fantastic views. Recommend this place whole heartedly.

It rained during our stay and this was the perfect place to be. We enjoyed a lazy day sitting on our balcony watching the clouds dance around the mountains in between the rain showers. We ate all our meals at the on-site restaurant (which we normally wouldn’t do) and really enjoyed trying all the different Lao dishes they prepared. This must be the best place to stay in Vang Vieng.

Very clean and well maintained rooms and property. The staff were attentive and the service was excellent throughout the entire stay. This hotel is the best choice in Vang Vieng if you have the option. The rooms, grounds and dining are all excellent, but the best is the staff. Kai at the front desk was so helpful and professional. She really made my stay more than perfect! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. And to do the balloon ride with Above Laos - my trip highlight!

So relaxing. Excellent food. Friendly Staff. I want to mention a name here. Mr Kid, he served us excellent food. Told us stories about Vang Vieng and culture. It was riaining heavily. He told us about the care and safety measures we needed to take. The Spa was very good. So too the swiming pool. Excellent reception staff. Special Khop Chai to all.

Great hotel in great location

We stayed for four nights and were upgraded to a Deluxe room which is 32m2 (same size as classic) on the ground level with pool view and outside seating area. Very comfortable king bed, small sitting area and a large bathroom. Shower is in bath, so may not suit everyone. Pool is very refreshing. There are about 22 sun lounges and we never had a shortage during our 4 nights stay. Very serene views of the river and limestone mountains in the background make it a very relaxing place to cool off after a day out and about. Breakfast is buffet style with egg station. Plenty of options to suit most people with different menu items each day. Fresh juices were great, never had avocado before but it was my favourite. Veth and Yurr (trainee) looked after us with great care and attention. We were never short of freshly brewed coffees, teas or water. Used plates were cleared frequently and quickly. Overall we had a lovely stay and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

We had a very short stay at this hotel but would have happily stayed longer if we had more time. This hotel is very conveniently located right next to the main road to town but it sits down low beside the river and so you feel very secluded. Although the property is a little bit older I found the room and amenities to be very comfortable and nice. Lovely pool with a view. Some construction going during our stay but that seemed to be happening everywhere we went this trip. That’s one downside to traveling during low season. The staff here was very friendly and the food was delicious! We ordered room service one night bc we were so tired from the day and it was one out best meals in Laos. A highly recommend this hotel for a great value.

I was here for 3 nights and then returned another night after visiting Vang Vieng so I was in two different type rooms and they were both excellent.The second was on the second floor and had a nice balcony which I would recommend if stairs are not a problem to you. But both rooms were very nice and felt luxurious. The location along the river is very nice and quiet since it is not right in the center of town. But it is also convenient enough to walk to the center of town and enjoy the markets and restaurants. The pool and spa were excellent and quiet. We arrived at the end of the rainy season so I don't think their evening dining options were fully functional yet. Breakfast was good but we enjoyed dinner each evening at one of the lovely and unique restaurants in the inner city. I can easily recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, great room, reasonable service

We were upgraded to a suite which was huge and overlooked the river, it was an amazing room, and finished with the trappings of an old world home. The restaurant was good and the staff attentive and helpful. 2 reasons for the 4 score rather than 5 : - the reception area is bland and functional and does not reflect the rest of the hotel - the restaurant staff were not very knowledgeable. They had a great wine list and everything I ordered that was upper end wines they said they did not have and they did not seem to know what they actually had. So I ended up going down to the wine cellar and found all of the wines I wanted, so all good at the end of the day. The pool area looked good but didn’t really use it.
