"Perfect break during long journey. Staff very accomodation. Beds are comfortable. My only suggestion would be to have a kettle in the room."

"We enjoyed our brief, one night stay. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, the room was clean and airy (and the bed super comfortable!), and we enjoyed a pleasant meal in the restaurant. Any first impressions that the property and environment are a little ‘tired’ were quickly dispelled by the welcome and the ambience. The house is set in lovely and large grounds, just right for an evening stroll"

"A very nice stay in a lovely old building that has been sympathetically modernised and included air conditioning It is a 5 min walk to the river and we went to a very nice restaurant around the corner that the hotel owner recommended"

"Nous avons réservé le domaine pour un week-end, nous avons été très bien accueillis par Angelina.Les lieux sont propres et très bien équipés. En cas de problème, le gardien et les propriétaires sont très réactifs.Nous sommes particulièrement satisfaits de notre séjour à la Retardière."

"Lovely hotel in an old country mansion. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful staff able to assist in booking tours. Quiet location 15 min walk into town and slightly closer to train station. Our room was small, but nice. Comfortable bed. Dinner in the restaurant was really delicious. "

"The owner was at the desk and recommended a nice brasserie to eat: the hotel was comfortable, in an old stone building with a lot of character. The room was comfortable the bedding perfect and we had a little sitting corner. We did not try the restaurant because it was closed but you will find plenty of places to have a good meal at a reasonable price. Will return in a heart beat."
