Lanterne Magiche Ortigia Suites

"If you’re looking for a quiet hotel with a great location, comfortable bed and good shower, book here. The hotel itself has a lot of character and we particularly enjoyed their rooftop terrace. We stayed for 4 nights. Our Deluxe room with balcony had a partial sea view so it was nice to see the sunrise from the sea. Since everything was so close it was easy for us to pop by the hotel periodically throughout the day for a rest or even a bathroom break. The only downside was that our room only had 1 chair and a bench at the foot of the bed which we were able to sit on. I would recommend upgrading if staying more than 2 nights. At the time of our booking this was the best room category available and we didn’t want to move even if a better room became available since we were already quite comfortable. Also nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room to enjoy your first cup of cafe and the Breakfast included was quite good."

"Beautiful hotel with wonderful hospitality We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Algilà Ortigia Charme. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is full of Sicilian character and charm, and its location in Ortigia was perfect for exploring on foot. Our room was comfortable and beautifully suited to the character of the hotel, and the staff were always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. After travelling throughout Sicily for two weeks, what stood out most was the genuine hospitality. We felt like valued guests, not just another reservation. Algilà was exactly what we hoped for from a Sicilian hotel — charming, personal and welcoming. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia!"

"Staying at Pallazzo Gilistro was great. Staff was super helpful and very nice. We loved our large room and the fantastic breakfast. But the best part was our location. Close to everything. Very walkable. Really nice boutique stay."

"Some of the breakfast items had run out and were not replenished, even though there was still around 1 hour left before breakfast service ended. And coffee and water was cold. Besides that, everything else was great."

"Aquí tienes: A hidden treasure: the staff Domus Mariae Albergo is simple, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. What truly makes this place special is the staff: warm, attentive, and always willing to help. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. My only comment is that the shower space is quite small. That said, the excellent location and the outstanding service more than make up for it. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area."
