Family beach retreat

We stayed with a family of 4. This home had more than enough space for us. We loved the location and the pool. Very clean with all the things we needed. It was nice having beach stuff too; umbrellas, cooler, chairs. We would stay again.

Quick visit

Great place for our short visit for my dad’s 80th birthday! Everyone enjoyed the accommodations and the kids loved the pool. We would have loved to stay longer.

Glad we had pool.

The house and pool were just what we needed. The bed pillows were very firm. I need a fluffy, squishy pillow for my neck. I had a neck issue the whole time I was there. On each bed there should be two different kind of pillows. Just a suggestion. Or keep one in the closet for people like me with neck and back issues. The hangers were a nice surprise. The beach chairs and umbrellas were convenient.

Love Venice

Great home in a convenient location to everything. Bike or walk to everything. Pool is perfect after a day out. Amy was helpful and communicated with us all along our stay with great suggestions for actives or events in the area. Happy to find this home.

Perfect location and size

The house was just as advertised and perfect for a girls weekend. Six of us stayed very comfortably and it would be great for a small family or two as well. Location was within walking distance to beach and a short drive to Venice ave for shopping and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place for others and stay here again.

1st time in Venice and Amy's house did not disappoint.

Conveniently located and well equipped. We had a really nice time. My group of 8 (2 adults, 5 teens, 1child) fit comfortably. Would definitely rent again.

Venice Getaway

A lot of fun and piece of mind

We really enjoyed the house .. big enough x the hole family , my family enjoyed the pool , the kitchen has everything we could need , clean house and the decoration I loved it .. but we really did not enjoy the beach , we arrived on a time where the red tide was very high, so we have to go to another beach that was far from the house , but other than that , everything was fine ..thanks

Villa needs a deep cleaning

Floors in the house were dirty. I mopped them all. Furniture, pictures, lamps, window sills, blinds and laundry room were very dusty. I dusted all of it. Scatter rugs were full of dust, hair and sand. I washed all but one because it was too large. I rolled it up and put in a closet. Both toilets backed up, one twice, not from overuse of toilet paper. Dining room was unusable because it had no a/c. I had to blow cold air out of the master bedroom into the kitchen and then use a second fan to blow the air into the dining room. Luckily I brought a fan, there was one there. Took hours to cool the house down. Pavers around the pool were uneven and weeds growing in the cracks. We needed to watch our step. Cobwebs were prevalent on the lanai. There were 2 trash cans, one of which was already full upon our arrival and I was expected to haul someone else's rubbish to the curb on Friday. Needless to say I was not going to do anymore than I already had. I sent Amy an email ( her preferred method of communication ). She answered a day and a half later saying she would send the cleaning people. By that time I had the place clean. They came when we were out which I didn't appreciate because we had all of our possessions in the house. There was no notice from the owner of when they were coming. I stripped all of the beds on the morning of departure only to find blood on the mattress pad of the queen bed. Being a fellow business owner in the same town, which I informed Amy of, I expected more courtesy. I left her place cleaner than when I got there. All towels, sheets and rugs were clean and folded except those still in the dryer. The ice maker was broken and I didn't know until we tried to get ice. The ice cube trays were cheap and cracked. I bought my own. The couches were stained, we covered them to sit. I moved one couch to make the room more conducive to conversation and had to vacuum the floor underneath it. Sorry to ramble, but I just keep thinking of things that went wrong. I asked how often the house was deep cleaned and was told twice a year. I must have been there in month 5 week 3 is all I can say.

Best Vacation!

We just stayed here to celebrate our twin daughters turning 16! We also had my young niece and nephew (5 & 6). This house and pool coupled with the perfect location made it so easy to spend the day shark tooth hunting (went just stayed close to Sharkeys) and then come home to swim in the pool! Weand hang out!

Hands down the best rental we've ever had!This home exceeded all our expectations in every way. It was incredibly well-stocked with thoughtful touches throughout—fans in every room, sound machines, high-quality kitchen items (including spices we really appreciated), matching silverware, ice trays and packs, laundry detergent (possibly left by a previous guest but still appreciated), and absolutely everything you could need for the beach. Extra beach and bath towels were plentiful, and I could go on and on with how many little extras were included.The house was spotless and clearly very well taken care of. Communication was flawless—both the booking agent and the cleaner/property manager were responsive and helpful every step of the way.We loved eating at Sharky’s and walking the pier—both were a highlight of our stay. The beach is definitely within walkable distance , but with smaller children, it was just a bit far for comfort. That said, we had a great time searching for shark teeth during the day and relaxing at the pool in the afternoons.This place is perfect for a single family, a large family, extended family, or even a group of close friends. We can’t wait to come back again!
