"Amylon" is the independent, southern wing of a large Provençal style villa. It is situated in open countryside in the commune of Vers Pont du Gard between the Gorges du Gardon and "la garrigue".

The building was recently constructed (2005) on an enclosed plot of 3700 m², surrounded by trees.

Here you will find a spacious, comfortable, simply furnished and well equipped gîte.

On the ground floor, a large, open-plan, bright, air-conditioned (or heated) room offers everything you need to cook, eat and relax comfortably.

On the first floor the landing opens onto four spacious bedrooms equipped with air conditioning (or heating), television, cupboard and en-suite shower room with toilet.

According to your needs the rooms can be configured with two single beds (90 X 200), or with a king size bed (180 X 200).

Amylon makes a great base for exploring the many attractions of the area, catering for all tastes. A latticework of lanes and tracks wait to be explored right from the gate, whether on foot or by bicycle. The famous Pont du Gard is about an hour’s walk away.

The river Gardon is a 5minute drive away, and offers walking, kayaking and climbing. The fascinating market town of Uzès is only 12 km away. With Avignon at 30 km and Nimes at 35 km, there are plenty of opportunities for exploring the local culture, not to mention the local wines and restaurants !

For day trips by car (or motorcycle), there a many more possibilities, such as the Cevennes, the Cirque de Navacelle, the Gorge du Tarn, the Gorge D’Ardeche, Mont Ventoux, Les Alpilles and the Camargue.

When you need a break from exploring, you will find plenty of space in and around the villa to relax. For the heat of the summer, the garden has many trees, giving good shade while you enjoy a game of pétanque or mölkky, or simply sit back with a long drink and listen to the cicadas. If the heat gets too much, you can always retreat inside to benefit from the air conditioning.

There is ample space to park on the secure forecourt.

By arrangement, cycles or motorcycles can be parked in our locked garage.

The rest of the villa is occupied by the owners who will be around if you need help.
