Camp Richardson Historic Resort

"My wife and I do not recommend staying here and won't be back. The accommodations felt less like a hotel, and more like a hostel. Small room with 2 beds barely fitting in a room and a very small bathroom. It was stuffy in the room, and we had to run 3 fans in order to cool it off. There we no amenities in the room that was too small. There is no air conditioner. Air temp outside was 75-85 in the afternoon. One of the inexpensive fans had a broken stand that needed to be replaced. We did not have a container for ice. They provided us 2 plastic sandwich bags when asked for a container. We used the rooms small garbage bucket for ice. We could not open window blinds because the lights from the road shined into the room The corner room was closest to the road noise on Hwy 89. The resort does not charge to park at the hotel but charges $12 for parking near the beach even though the hotel is a part of the resort property. The pictures of the bar in the advertising give the impression of beach access from the hotel but the bar is a long walk from the hotel across the property. Rather than pay the additional $12, i carried my inflatable kayak to the beach area. We did not feel comfortable asking the staff to change the room even though the hotel was half empty. We feel this resort hotel is a misleading ripoff and hope this review dissuades some from visiting or for the property to upgrade their rooms and ammenities."

"we arrived after a 9-hour drive expecting to check in at 4:00 pm, but the front desk agent, almost laughing about it, told us they were still waiting for housekeeping to prepare our room. it wasn’t ready until 5:30 pm, and we had plans scheduled just 30 minutes later there were also several other issues: the room didn’t have a proper mirror besides a very small one in the bathroom, and we were given the wrong door code. after returning later, we couldn’t get back into our room because of it unfortunately, based on our experience, i can’t really recommend this hotel"

"We had an amazing weekend for my daughter‘s birthday at this home. Everything was perfect. There’s plenty of room for everybody to gather and also sleep. The view is beautiful perfect location right next to the grove and Camp Richardson for the beach epic weekend."

Beautiful Tahoe Keys Home: Family and Pet Friendly

"My family really enjoyed our stay in Lyssa’s cozy home in the Tahoe Keys. The biggest highlight for us was the hot tub, which was ready to use from the moment we checked in and had beautiful mountain views from the backyard.The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with plenty of dishware and flatware, along with thoughtful extras like a hot water kettle and rice cooker — things our family definitely appreciated.The location was also excellent: great restaurants and grocery stores were within a 10-minute drive, and the home made a perfect base for exploring South Lake Tahoe. We even spotted bunnies in the neighborhood more than once :)One small detail I especially appreciated was that both TVs prompted guests to enter their checkout date when using for the first time, so streaming accounts would automatically be signed out at the end of the stay. As someone who always worries about accidentally leaving Netflix/HBO/Apple TV/Hulu logged in somewhere during our world travels, that was a very thoughtful touch.A huge bonus for me as the family travel planner was how easy Lyssa was to work with. She was probably the most responsive host I’ve ever corresponded with and was consistently flexible, understanding, and helpful with all of our questions and requests."
