"Our second time at the Bay Leaf on our trip to the Andaman Islands. We found the BL to be a modern well run hotel and a good central location. We stayed in two types of rooms we found both to be of a good standard. Eg: comfortable beds, clean well maintained bathrooms and good AC/Fans. The rooftop restaurant /Bar is a nice place to eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail overlooking Port Blair, once again we found the level of service excellent. "What we did not like was that the hotel looked good on the expedia website but the reality was very different. The entrance was very depressing and at night was not lit at all. You needed a torch to find your way. Room was big but was not very clean. We even had an additional guest. A cockroach! The hotel is overpriced for what it provides."

"This is a modern hotel, slightly away from Port Blair. It takes an auto about twenty to twenty five minutes to reach the Cellular Jail. The best thing about the hotel is its staff, who are friendly and helpful. Their WiFi is very slow. For that matter even on your mobile phone internet access is very slow and there hardly any 4G coverage in the island"

"The hotel was a big disappointment. We stayed here for 1 night and had booked 3 rooms. There was no ventilation in the rooms and all the rooms were smelly. There were also cockroaches in the rooms. When we complained no action was taken. The hotel is family run and the hotel staff is highly unprofessional. The hotel also refused to accept credit card payment and we had to run around for an ATM. All in all for the hefty price we paid - this hotel was a big rip off."

"It was a very good hotel and around 3kms from hotel however the area is slightly away from Corbyn's Cove but near to cellular jail. The stay at hotel was comfortable and I even got an upgraded room. The room had extremely clean toilet so much so that I felt it was a brand new commode. The bed was very comfortable and was of any good 4 star hotel.
