Imagine driving to a secret hideaway nestled in a deep canyon with a beautiful tree-lined stream running through it - a magical land that borders the west side of majestic Zion National Park. Our enchanting, romantic Cottage is situated on the famous 750 acre Sunset Canyon Ranch conveniently located for adventures in Zion National Park, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Snow Canyon, and even Las Vegas. After a day of exploring our breathtaking country with the hustle and bustle of other tourists, you can look forward to returning to the comfort of your private Shangri-la.

Romantic, cozy, and comfortable! The Cottage is ideal for an amorous getaway or just a rejuvenating, peaceful retreat for two! 850 sq. ft, with living, dining, kitchen, bath, and master bedroom. TV in the bedroom as well as living room. Wood burning fireplace (seasonally) Private patio with bbq, outdoor dining, and year-round hot-tub under the stars. You'll find many amenities in addition to hiking, biking, and exploring Zion Park, including a sport-court for playing pickleball, tennis, or basketball, access to the ranch pool and ping-pong table, catch and release fishing on our pond, and the luxury of getting away to a quiet, peaceful, private domain.

If you don't feel like cooking, enjoy one of the many wonderful restaurants in Virgin, Springdale, LaVerkin, or Hurricane. then escape from the bustling crowds back to your own kingdom.

The west side of Zion National Park, only two minutes by car, is one of the best-kept secrets and is home to some of Zion's most famous hikes, including the Subway, West Rim, and Hop Valley. Here you can also investigate ancient caves with Indian Petroglyphs or discover rare dinosaur tracks. The Park's main entrance in Springdale is only 18 minutes away where shuttles will take you to the many other hikes the Park has to offer, such as Angel's Landing, Weeping Rock, Sinewava, and Emerald Pools. You’ll find terrific shopping and dining in Springdale as well.

For many years we've opened our doors to travelers from all over the world and the telling tale is this: they come back again and again and refer us to their friends and family. Accommodations fill up quickly, so booking early in the season is suggested.

Vickie was a great host who gave us great suggestions on the area. It was so nice staying just minutes from the west side of Zion National Park. The hot tub was perfect for clear and chilly nights and then to cap off the night by the indoor fireplace. Couldn’t recommend this cottage more!

We had an absolutely wonderful visit. We have made lifelong memories on this vacation and that was thanks to having such a wonderful host and great place to stay! The cottage (and ranch) were the perfect escape from our busy lives. We appreciated all of the little touches in the cottage, it had everything we needed and made us feel special. The hot tub was a very much-needed respite after a day of long hikes. Vickie's recommendations were spot on for places to eat and things to see while we were there! Vickie was very responsive whenever we had a question or need. She's a wonderful host. We're off now but the ranch and cottage will always have a place in our hearts.

This was the second stay here for my husband and me. We chose this place again due to our wonderful experience the first time. This second visit did not disappoint! Our hosts were again helpful and made us feel very welcome. The cottage is lovely and has everything one could possibly need on a vacation. One of favorite things about this cottage is the location. The surrounding natural beauty is spectacular, comparable to Zion National Park. The location is also perfect for visiting Zion and Kolob Canyon parks.

This cottage was absolutely perfect! It has all the amenities of home - seriously, fully stocked everything. The cabin is roomy and secluded with beautiful grounds and a comfortable (adjustable!) bed. The owner was very communicative and it was easy and convenient to get to Zion. Don’t skip doing a drive through the Kolob area of Zion. It’s only 2 miles down the road and beautiful to drive through. The cabin is spotless, in no small part because the owner is very particular on that front. If that’s a problem for you, stay elsewhere, but if you leave a place as you found it - you will love what you get in this rental.

An Absolute Dream Honeymoon

This property sits inside of a canyon about 20 mins from the main national park entrance. It contains everything you could want for a quiet and adventurous get away trip. We went for our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts Vicki and Hank were friendly, great communicators, and went above and beyond to make the stay great! Would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Thoughtful Host and Beautiful Setting

We had a wonderful anniversary getaway at Mrs. Vickie’s cottage retreat. The location was perfect for what we were desiring - a short drive to Zion National Park and only a couple of hours away from Bryce Canyon. The homesite itself is a beautiful valley nestled between amazing rock formations. They have horse pastures, a lake, pickleball court, and other homes within the gated property. The host’s hospitality was fantastic, including freshly baked cookies and hot chocolate prepared for us by the fireplace that was all set up and ready to go. The cottage is stocked with many thoughtful amenities, and a grocery store is nearby. The hot tub after a day of hiking was a treat, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a great time and completely recommend this listing!

Heaven on earth.

Totally Zen experience at the ranch. Quite solitude with only the burbling creek as backdrop. Towering canyon cliffs surrounding white fenced pastures, horse barns and this charming little cottage. At sunset, the far canyon wall glows in red and orange. This is a very special place. Hank and Vickie are extremely professional and friendly hosts.

Loved this cottage!

This was the first rental out of many I’ve stayed that ended up being exactly as listed. The place is very clean and cozy. It had we everything needed for our stay and felt like “home.” I appreciated that Vickie walked us through when we arrived to show us around and explain how things worked in the cottage. WiFi in the cottage worked great the entire stay. Streaming on tv only glitched the first night we were there, but some rainy weather was passing over when it happened. WiFi on phones still worked throughout the rainy or cloudy days without issue. The location is easy to get to and cottage itself is private. Waze GPS (on Verizon) worked well to get us there even though signal is weak right before the entrance. 5G service was close enough to allow the map to work all the way there. When leaving, we’d have to drive a few minutes before regaining service to enter a destination in, so we just had to know which direction we were headed when leaving. If we decide to travel back to Zion, this is definitely the place I’d stay!

Best. VRBO. Ever.

If I could have given this cottage 6 stars I would have. This is the best vacation rental I've ever booked. It was the perfect home base for me and my wife on our honeymoon. Quiet, private, comfortable, and clean with an extremely well-stocked kitchen. We spent several nights stargazing from the hot tub and one night enjoyed a fire in the fireplace (prepared for us in advance - just had to light it). The cottage felt like an oasis in the mountains. The location was great, on the West side of Zion not too far from Virgin, La Verkin, and Springdale. Beyond the cottage itself, though, was our incredible host Vickie. This was our first time visiting this area and roughly 90% of our plans came directly from the copious suggestions she provided. She was very responsive and helpful with questions we had about the area during our stay. And she even gave us a bottle of wine and a lovely card to congratulate us on our marriage. While we also had some very good fortune weather-wise for our trip, booking this cottage was the number one reason that we had the perfect honeymoon.

Perfect place to stay near Zion

This property is so comfortable and quiet we did not want to leave. It is a great place to get away from the crowds at Zion and Springdale. It is beautifully furnished and well stocked. Vickie is the perfect host. The pictures and description are accurate. I cannot recommend this property enough. We would definitely stay here again.

Enchanted is an understatement!

My husband and I were indeed “enchanted” from the moment we pulled into this property! It is beautiful and picturesque, as is the surrounding area. Our hosts, Vickie and Hank, made us feel special and right at home. It was a treat to meet them! Every amenity and detail a traveler could want was provided. The cottage is comfortable, beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Vickie thought of everything and even gave us some lesser-known hiking ideas in Kolob Canyon.This was more than “a place to stay”; it is a destination in itself. I’d really like to keep it a secret!
