"Our room and the hotel itself was so lovely - gorgeous decor, a super comfortable bed, great location, yummy restaurant. Only two small complaints - our electricity seemed to be out each morning and I didn't know to wave the room key over the master light switch to reactivate it. It would've been helpful to have been told that at check-in. It was zero worries once I learned that was the trick! Also, Massachusetts liquor laws are annoying - one night I wanted to order a glass of wine to the room and it wasn't allowed because the hotel and the restaurant have separate liquor licenses. So BYO wine if you want it in your room!"

"Great coffee!! Everything was inviting and clean. Quiet too, even room by freeway. Was given sound machine to help distract from noise. Will stay here again!!!"

"Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The location was wonderful being less than a mile from several Boston institutions like the MFA, BU, NEU, Christian Science, Boston Common and Emerson U. Also close to mass transit. Plenty of outlets in room. Good amount of lighting. Breakfast wasn't worth it, but several good cafes in the area. Walls were so thin we could easily hear everyone around us. Showerhead was lower than my height (5'8"). "

"The location is excellent - walking distance to shopping, the Charles River, and great restaurants. The rooms at citizenM are always comfortable, and the living room at this one (Boston Back Bay) was so lively. It was great to hang out there during some down time after a busy day of exploring."

"This Inn is very run down though my room was clean at least. However, there is no soap or paper towels in any of the bathrooms. My blinds were broken and only half covered the window so people could see into my room from the outside when I dressed. The same with the bathroom on my floor. It was missing man slats and was right by the shower facing the street so again people could see into it when you were by the shower. I don't expect much from a budget place yet this was simply not acceptable. "

"Good and Bad Good: location is amazing. Gym is incredible. Staff were very nice. Starbucks and restaurants/bar are nice and accessible. Bad: walls are PAPER thin. You hear everything from other rooms to outside to hallways. Parking is $70/USD a day (when we booked three months ago they said $40 but didn’t honor that). Rooms and bathrooms are TINY and old."
