"This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area"

"Everything about our stay could not be faulted. Friendly reception on arrival. Told all we needed to know straight away and made to feel very welcome. Separate restaurants as we had our dogs with us and we were the only ones in ours but still were treated very attentively. Good varied menu with several specials on offer. "The staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back "

"Carol and Ceri looked after us very well, beginning with their greeting us at the front door on our arrival. The bed was comfortable and all room facilities excellent (lovely soft towels), except that the bedside lights are not bright enough for old eyes to read by. Breakfasts, prepared by Ceri, were top class; we really looked forward to coming downstairs each morning at 8.30. It was good to be made to feel part of the family, especially as we were able to chat to other guests at the breakfast...
