Our charming, fully-renovated English basement apartment is nestled on a quiet side street by the H St and Union Market Corridor. It will be the perfect anchor to your adventures in the District! Just 1.2 miles from the U.S. Capitol + major sights and situated between 2 Metro Red Line stops (NOMA and Union Station). Our well situated, spotlessly clean apartment is the ideal home base for your DC adventure!

The Space:
Our charming apartment offers a convenient location to the most interesting attractions and is situated near many of DC’s trendiest restaurants and bars in the iconic Union Market and on H St! Grab coffee, groceries, cocktails, and a bite all within a 5-10 min stroll. Nestled between 2 metro red line stops of NOMA (12 minutes walk) and Union Station (15 minute walk). Ride the free street car right into Union station and be on the metro line and down on the National Mall in minutes.

Ideal for a business or sightseeing trip, we can comfortably sleep 4 guests by use of the below:
~ Queen sized bed in the bedroom
~ Queen sized sofa bed in the living space.

The kitchen allows guests to oversee the on-goings of the home - chefs will have a bird’s eye view - perfect for keeping an eye on the kiddos while preparing meals. Great appliances and amenities will have even the least culinarily inclined inspired to whip up a meal or order take-in. Sit yourselves comfortably at the table for 4.
Nearby Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are within walking distance - ideal for those last minute supplies!

The living room comes complete with a large TV with a Roku - perfect for relaxing to your favorite shows while unwinding after city overload; THE recipe for a cozy evening in! Tempurpedic sofa bed located in the living room is perfect for 2 guests.

The bedroom offers a laptop friendly workspace (ideal for those traveling on business), and another TV with smart streaming functions (Roku); for those who can`t catch their ZZZ`s without it! A luxurious queen-sized bed and mid century modern furnishings create a zen, calming space to rest your head.
Walk in closet in the bedroom provides ample storage for guests.

The large, fully renovated bathroom provides a cozy and spacious way to start your day.

The apartment is not shared with anyone else, and is a completely separate unit with its own entrance. As with many homes in DC, the upper floors have full time occupants. You will have your own entrance and private access, however please be mindful of the fact that noise can travel and this is city living, we like to take care of our neighbors!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire english basement apartment, it isn’t shared.

There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.

The Neighborhood:
The house is just a 2 minute walk from the most popular bars and restaurants on the H Street Corridor! You are also a very short walk to Union Market and Gallaudet University, and a 5 minute Uber ride from a number of other popular DC landmarks, including Chinatown, Eastern Market, and Navy Yard.

The neighborhood is lively and exciting, lots of unique bars and a plethora of entertainment options. From live music, comedy, improv, and stage plays, those interested in the arts or just looking to see something new will not be disappointed!

Getting Around:
We are located a short 2 minute walk to H St where you can pick up DC's Streetcar that runs down H St all the way to Union Station - the epicenter of DC's action and hub of the major sights. For access to the White House and other museums on the Mall, Metro Center is a quick ride on the red line from Union Station where you can access other lines easily.
We are also close to several Capital Bikeshares (the city's bike sharing program) and bus lines, including the X1, X2, X3, X9, and B2.
If you feel like taking a stroll, Eastern Market, Union Market, Capitol Hill, the Capitol, and Union Station are all within easy walking distance.
The D8 Bus can take you directly to the Capitol Building in about 20 minutes, or bike there in LESS then 10.
