"This is a moderately priced resort overlooking the Ping River about 1/2 hour outside of Chiang Mai. Our family of four only spent one night but enjoyed the small pool and view from our veranda. The gardens are lovely, room was spacious and well appointed, and the staff very helpful. Breakfast, included in the tariff, was very generous, though dinner service was a bit slow. They have three one-person kayaks and several basic bicycles (all free) if you wish to paddle on the river or pedal a few...

"Great hosts! The bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure is good. The grounds are lovely, the pool was always spotless and the area is quiet. You do need your own transport as it is a half hour drive from the center of Chiang Mai, but there is lots close by. Hang Dong is only a ten minute drive."

But as we rented a car the location out of the city center was perfect to go explore as you skip the crazy traffic in the city center Service was great and the free driver to old town is great Personally I think the pool area needs a upgrade or some extra details to make it match the hotels.
