West Jefferson, NC - One-of-a kind magnificent log home w/Australian cypress floors, gourmet kitchen, marble tile w/custom accents, and two river rock fireplaces (great room & den). There's even bear statues carved into the massive logs. Top of the world views are yours as well as privacy -yet only 5 min from West Jefferson. The main level features three bedrooms & 2 baths - including the large master suite w/TV, & bath with oversized Jacuzzi tub & steam sauna! One guest bedroom features queen bed & sitting area, other guest bedroom offers two twins. Downstairs is a den with f/p, pool table, TV/DVD, two more bedrooms (2 twins & 1 queen), third full bath with stand up shower, double sinks, and a separate laundry room. The online pictures do not do this house justice. Everything is better in person both inside and out.The only recommendation I have is to have more seating options on the decks to enjoy the gorgeous views.

Could have been better

The house itself is lovely with a great view! Furniture upstairs is fine, although not enough seating - one sofa and two chairs to watch tv - seating for 5 only. Weather was not great so we did watch some movies. There were countless dead flies on the windowsills (ick) and no blankets in the whole house. Sheets and light coverlets only on all the beds, and the heat could not keep up with the temps outside. It was cold but not ridiculously so outside - lows maybe in the teens - and the house was 59 degrees Sunday morning. This would have been fine had there been adequate comforters, blankets, etc, but there was nothing. Furniture downstairs was very faded and old looking. One of the bedrooms downstairs has no window at all which I do not think was noted anywhere. All in all - house itself is great but because of the no blankets, handkerchief-sized towels, and heat not working, our stay left a little to be desired.

Great views

Lots of space for a large group. We enjoyed West Jefferson. The grocery store is close as is the downtown with several restaurants. The house needs the same number of outdoor chairs as it sleeps. There are 3 chairs on deck and one on the upper deck.

Beautiful property and a great location

The house has a beautiful view and is very conveniently located to West Jefferson, Grandfather Mountain, Boone and all that area has to offer. We love the wood interior and beautiful stone fireplae. The house is comfortable and well appointed.

Buck Mountain

The cabin was rustic and clean, with a spectacular view of the mountains. However, I was upset to arrive and find hundreds of dead centipedes on the front porch and both decks. The first thing I did was sweep all those locations. And while the cabin sleeps 10, there were only 4 exterior chairs for guests to relax and enjoy the view. A few blankets would have been appreciated. Otherwise, our short stay was lovely. Thank you.

Location is Great. Interior very nice. Generally clean.Notes on every light switch would be helpful. Exterior needs attention to cleaning off dead ants worms and (1) mouse, replace bags of sand (?), possible termite damage to a lower log on deck. Also time to refresh stain/paint. Additional outdoor seating would be nice. The additional living area is a huge plus! Great Rental. Thanks

Wonderful house and fantastic view.

picture perfect was a great house for our family. There’s plenty of rooms, great kitchen and fantastic view. The location is great as it’s not too far from downtown. I highly recommend staying there. We plan to go back.

Truly picture perfect

This home was perfect for our girl’s trip weekend! We wanted beautiful views, and this home did not disappoint. We truly felt emersed in the mountains with the log cabin exterior and thoughtful interior décor. The home was clean, comfortable, and spacious and is only minutes from restaurants, shops, hiking and a winery. Aside from the stunning views, do not miss out on the steam shower in the primary bathroom. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home to others.

Beautiful mountain home

This periphery’s was spectacular. Beautiful mountain top views, convenient location to West Jefferson and Boone, and a beautiful and grand log cabin style interior. The home featured spacious living areas, three outdoor decks, a spacious kitchen, and five comfortable bedrooms.

Great location to get away!

The views were amazing, and the place was just like it was in the pictures. House it is in a cul-de-sac and very private. Lots of great views at the house and driving to it. The town of West Jefferson has a lot to offer as well as plenty things around to go do.

Fantastic log home vacation

Met and exceeded all of our expectations. Convenient to weet jefferson downtown just 2 miles away. No expense spared in this lrage home filled with all the wood, log and charm you would want.

Great get a way

Just what we were looking for. A spacious, comfortable, beautiful and cozy place to enjoy friends. The house far exceeded everyone's expectations. Large kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies. Comfortable and relaxing seating area for all of us. Breath taking views!!!! Exceptional detail to everything. Property management responded well. Only downside we were responsible for getting rid of the trash. We had to wash linen prior to leaving.
