Welcome to our beautifully updated home, in a peaceful beach neighborhood. Sweet Spot Getaway is a newly renovated charmer, nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, in a neighborhood with private beach access. Take a 5 minute stroll to the beach, or drive 6 minutes to the town beach. Our home features 3 spacious bedrooms, with the main bedroom on the first floor, 2.5 updated bathrooms, a garage, and a large, open family room. There is a chef's kitchen with all the necessary amenities and new appliances. Grill and chill outside on our covered and uncovered patios, or relax in our central air conditioned, open family room. There is beautiful wood flooring and central A/C controlled by Nest thermostats throughout the entire house.

Sweet Spot Getaway is easy to get to, as it is about a 5 minute drive off the highway, and accessible to the Westbrook Shoreline East train station for access into NYC. It is the perfect location to work from home and be inspired with creativity as you relax on the quiet private neighborhood beach. Our fast Wi-Fi speeds make remote working easy.

Have an event at the Water's Edge Resort or the Elk's Lodge? Attending a graduation at Yale or another university? Our home can serve as a perfect family friendly alternative to staying on the resort while being only a 1 minute drive to Water's Edge, a 5 minute drive to the Elk's Lodge, and an easy 35 minute drive to Yale. Our large chef's kitchen is modern and stocked with everything you need to cook for your family. We know how challenging it can be travelling with small children. Our Sweet Spot Getaway will give you the space you need for napping, meals, relaxing time, playing games in the backyard, and being able to cook in the kitchen or BBQ on the outdoor propane grill.

There is plenty of space to spread out, with 2 bedrooms upstairs, and a large main bedroom with en-suite bathroom, downstairs. The main bedroom has plenty of room for a portable crib (not provided) for those travelling with infants. Our home has ample space for a family reunion, or a change of scenery to spend the holidays with your friends and family. It is also perfect for a solo trip or a romantic getaway. Great spot!

Kevin's place was the perfect family-vacation destination. Comfortable, equipped with anything we could possibly need, clean, spacious, and updated. The location is wonderful and the yard/outdoor space is amazing! Also, the host was a great communicator leading up to and during the trip for any questions I had. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay—this home is in a pristine, peaceful neighborhood that’s both charming and relaxing. The area feels very safe and is perfect for a quiet getaway.The only small note I’d offer is that the main photo can be a bit misleading—it gives the impression that the beach is directly accessible from the backyard, when in fact it’s a short walk away. That said, the beach is still very close and easy to get to, and the overall experience was fantastic.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again!

Lovely home with all the right touches!

We loved our stay in this home! The place is sparkling clean. They have all of the amenities you need from towels, to snacks and even a complimentary bottle of wine! The furniture and fixtures are all new and luxury level. Rooms are spacious. Neighborhood is quiet and wonderful to take a walk or a run. Host was very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!

It was a perfect family getaway. Host was amazing. Location was great. Modern kitchen and Open set up was very comfortable. Bathrooms were beautiful, and washer and drier were a real plus. Great stay!

We loved our time at the house. Kevin was a great host and was very responsive if we had any questions. The location to the beach is perfect, especially with smaller children. The house was extremely clean and a great layout for two families to stay together. I would highly recommend!

Exceeded all Expectations

I stayed at this property with 5 other adults for a long weekend and we loved everything about it! It was clean, well-furnished, and full of thoughtful additions (e.g, a snack basket, extra toiletries) that made us feel welcome. The short walk to the beach made for some lovely morning walks. All in all, our stay was phenomenal!

Fabulous Rental

The house was fabulous & fit our needs. The main living area & kitchen was open & very spacious that allowed our entire group to mingle while cooking, eating, or watching TV. The owners were very prompt replying to our questions. We really enjoyed our stay & this home rental made it extra special.

A great home!

We really loved staying in this home. The layout was great, the set-up is modern, and it's a beautiful space! They provided everything we needed. The patio and outdoor shower was also great. We loved going to the private beach. Would recommend bringing water shoes as it's very rocky. We loved having breakfast outdoors at the Turtle Cafe!

Tranquility by the Sea!

My family and I loved our stay at this sparkling, clean home. Marji is an excellent host and sets up the home to welcome guests with wonderful amenities. Any questions we had were promptly and swiftly answered. We went in the winter, but the weather lent itself to long walks and ocean views. The neighboring towns and restaurants are quaint and friendly. Wonderful stay!!

Weekend getaway

My husband and I were in town for a wedding. We brought along the grandparents to help with our infant and 2 older kids. Everyone had a great time. Beach is a short walk. The house had everything we needed, some things we forgot and more! Quiet little neighborhood, and everyone we met was kind. Again, great place for a family to stay.

Fantastic place, super clean, very well-organized.

We had a wonderful stay. The beach was a short walk away (~2 blocks) and had interesting rocks. We saw plenty of interesting sights in the area, too (Old Saybrook, Essex, Gillette Castle) and there are also many nice small hiking trails nearby. The house was exceptionally clean and everything was of very high quality. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, and it's a great place to cook and socialize. Hosts were very organized, communicative, friendly, and helpful, too. We would definitely stay here again.

Outstanding vacation home - amazing property and location.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the property. Everything exceeded our expectation. The house was beautiful and comfortable, located on a lovely street and a short walk to the beach. The house is also very clean and well stocked with all necessities. The hosts Marji and Kevin are very responsive. My husband gives it a 6 star!! We wished our trip was longer but we are looking forward to next summer!

Perfect little getaway!

Everything was wonderful. The hosts were easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. The house was so clean and was absolutely beautiful. The outside patio was perfect for hanging out after a day at the beach. Quick short walk to the small beach which was never crowded. The garage access and the beach wagon definitely came in handy. Definitely a wonderful place to stay! Beds were comfortable and welcome supplies were greatly appreciated. Close to many great restaurants and stores!

Great house

The house and yard are very nice, plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children under 5. There was no lack of anything we needed for meals, clean-up, laundry, beach-going, etc. Access to the beach is easy, a short walk, but the beach and water are both pretty rocky with limited space (no walks, throwing a ball/frisbee, etc.) or spreading out a blanket. Beach chairs are a good substitute.

Ideal spot for our family graduation gathering!

Marji & Kevin’s home was the perfect place to host a family gathering for our son’s college graduation. From booking to departure we had excellent communication with them and they were very helpful with suggestions & local resources for planning our weekend. There are many thoughtful touches throughout this VERY CLEAN and well maintained house that made for a relaxed and comfortable stay: inviting and open spots to gather inside and on the backyard patio, very well stocked kitchen and laundry room, and plenty of bedroom / bathroom storage to fully unpack for our stay. Girls Seashore Getaway

Our group of friends have been going on a girls getaway for over 20 years. This was one of the nicest homes we stayed in. The home was even nicer than the pictures show. It was so clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location. We enjoyed the outside area for breakfast in the morning and wine and snacks later in the day. Although we didn’t get to go to the beach, it had chairs, boogie boards and plenty of beach towels. The beds were so comfortable and plenty of shampoo, soaps, paper products and a nicely stocked kitchen. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend this home if you are in the area. It was a definite five star accommodation!

Many rules

Lovely home. Great locale. We were surprised by the long list of rules & work expected of us. We already know to leave any place as we found it or better. However, we were asked to wash towels & linens, take garbage cans to the curb, monitor the sprinkler times. I understand, but it's a bit much to be totally relaxing.

Superior rental in Westbrook

We had a really nice stay at this house! It was very clean, beautifully updated with an open floor plan and in a quiet neighborhood. The communication before, during and after our stay with the owner / property manager was excellent. The amenities that were provided made it easy to not have to pack so much extra stuff (eg beach chairs, sheets, towels, shampoo/conditioner, etc). The only downside to the stay was while the beach was an easy, short walk, it was not accessible during high tide and during low tide was very small with no room to spread out. We ended up going to the town beach instead which was nice and pretty empty (8 minutes away; non-resident daily rate was $40 a day). If we end up back in Westbrook would definitely consider this property again!

Sweet Spot for sure!

What an AMAZING home to stay in❤️. We so enjoyed all of the hosts efforts to make everything easy to use with great instructions, beautiful decor and comfort, and all the little extra things left for guests. It is so well thought out with so much care in mind. Just walking in the front door you know right away what a well kept and loved property this is. The island is so gorgeous and just perfect for groups visiting. My husband and I enjoyed the 1st floor master so much! We both just turned 70 and loved the ease and accessibility to the kitchen and main floor. We loved the quiet neighborhood and charming well loved homes. Everyone kept commenting on all the thoughtful considerations done for the guests. We have rented many VRBO properties over the years and this has been the best one so far in terms of fabulous mattresses/bedding, cleanliness, comfort, and especially starter items. We found the soap/shampoo dispensers in the bathrooms the coolest touch! The bedside USB ports were loved and appreciated by all! A number of people in our group are hoping to rent from you in the future 🙂 Your yard and backyard seating was the bomb! We wish we were staying longer but … we will be back! Many thanks! Dream Vacation Home
