I have 3 properties , VRBO ID 729271, 4506782, & 600509, Short 1 Mile walk to the closest beach (Weekapaug). You Our beach pass is for Wuskenau beach which is 2 miles away. Wuskenau beach is located right next to Misquamicut state beach. Fully furnished New England style cottage. Living room with 1 full-size couch and a chair. Eat-in kitchen seats 4 comfortably. Outdoor table seats 6 comfortably. Additional fold up table and 4 additional fold-up chairs provided. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed; Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed. A queen size inflatable mattress is provided. House has 3 window air conditioners and for heat, it has steam radiators. Sheets, comforters, pillows, and towels are provided. 1 full bathroom with shower. Large washer & dryer, 50-inch HDTV flat screen with local TV channels and Apple TV, Verizon FIOS 100 Mbps Internet, large microwave, full-size stove, full-size fridge, 12 cup coffee maker. Dining ware, pots & pans provided. Outdoor fire pit (firewood not provided). Winnapaug Country Club (public golf course) 1 mile away. Very large yard with outdoor table and table umbrella, great for outdoor BBQ (charcoal grill provided). Quiet neighborhood. This property is central to beaches and shopping. The property is comfortable for families with children. House has tile and hardwood floors throughout. Check out downtown Westerly: The Grey Sail Brewery, 2 bookstores, antique shops, many retail shops, pubs, and restaurants. 10 minutes from Watch Hill, 40 minutes from Historic Newport, RI. There are playgrounds and tennis courts for after dinner hours of fun located just up the street at Rotary Park or enjoy a short drive to Watch Hill for ice cream and carousel ride; great for the kids-- or The Ocean House for adults. Foxwoods Resort Casino is 35 minutes away. Mohegan Sun casino is 50 minutes away. Enjoy dining in the many waterside restaurants in our area. No security deposit required. Walmart superstore is 5 minutes away. In the summer there are many free outdoor concerts with free parking in beautiful Watch Hill or at the town beach. Plenty of parking for up to 6 vehicles at the property. Check-in is at 3:00, check out is at 10:00. The address is 7 ½ Cattail Dr., Westerly, RI 02891. Check in/out was super easy. Close to the beach in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the quiet mornings on the front porch and quiet evenings in the backyard with a fire. Was enough space for my small family and small dogs. Beds were comfy and convenient to have a washer and dryer in the house. This will be our new yearly vacation spot!

Great location, responsive owners, but smaller than expected. It would be great for a writing retreat. The peach pass was very helpful and made access easy to the town beach which has a large ramp for those with walkers or wheelchairs. Enjoyed overall.

Listing is deceiving, and property needs a deep clean.

The pictures are outdated/misleading/false. You are paying for the location and beach pass, thats it. If the advertisement said “rustic cottage, just like camping,” that would be more accurate. Imbummed I wasted my families annual vacation here. The house is in serious need of a deep clean; lots of dust and dirt in all the corners. My daughter’s feet turned black from walking around with no socks on. Im not sure where the cleaning fee goes. Very buggy, lots of dead bugs in the light fixtures, corners, windowsills, etc. The living room couches smell so musty and gross but you cant open any of the windows (except the bathroom since the fan doesnt work) because there is foam pieces and duct tape covering up the holes in the window frames. Many of the windows dont have curtains or shades, because they are broken off. Lots of broken items; hammock rolled in a dirty ball in the basement, headboard broken with super sharp edge, Grill was filthy (didnt make our steaktips). Chairs by firepit were filthy and unusable. Grass could have been mowed and partner found two ticks on him, but that is just RI I guess. Mouse poop in cabinet that I had to clean out. Battery hanging out of fire alarm.chicken coop next door is overgrown with no chickens and I believe a skunk is living there and we heard it screaming at night. We had to keep dog/child away. Neighboring house by same owner goes for similar price and seems to be much nicer.

Excellent Experience

First time renting a house for vacation and had a great time. Just a short drive to the beach. Neighborhood was quiet which made it easy to relax.

Great beach house

Classic New England cottage style house, had everything we needed and felt like home. The private beach we had access to could not have been better!! Highly recommend

Beautiful weather

Beautiful weather, house was comfortable for us. Bathroom was small with little space to put stuff. Kitchen was adequately equipped for meals. Not fancy. Location was great. Would stay again

Ideal Spot

This is a great little getaway in a very nice neighborhood. It is my second time here. It was easy to take my dogs for daily walks. It is close to many stores and is about 1.5 miles away from the beach. They lend you their beach pass to Wuskenau Beach which is a nice beach next to Misquamicut. The cottage is clean and the beds are comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here again. Thank you Fausto and Cheryl.

Long weekend getaway

The location of this home was excellent- one mile from beaches and a nice park at the end of the street. The home felt a bit cramped- very small bathroom and had a hard time opening windows when it cooled down. Hosts were nice and responsive when we had WiFi issues.

Nice Location but dusty

This property is nicely located, quiet and has a convenient layout. It could use some renovation and a thorough cleaning. There was a foul smell, maybe a skunk, in the main bedroom. The owner, who was very responsive, provided an air purifier which helped a little but the smell lingered for several days. We left a day early.

Not a nice place at all!

Pictures posted did not depict cottage. It was filthy. Gunk on bass boards, radiators had items behind them and dirty. Kitchen ceiling is ready to fall in. Black mold in Bathroom. Windows so filthy you couldn’t barely see through. On could go on. I wanted to leave the next day but as my husband started, it’s already paid for. The sad thing is it could be a lovely place with some TLC.

Bare Bones - Needs Some Love

Great location. AC. Kinda buggy, had to plug some holes and cracks. Painfully small bathroom. Uncomfortable bed. Hard mattress and pillows, creaky bed frame. Was reluctant to return here every night to suffer though the bed. No door mat, kitchen towels or bath mat. WiFi is from the other house, signal only reaches the front rooms. My family was staying in two other cabins nearby and they were much nicer at a similar price, so shop around.

Nice cottage

Nice location. Quiet area, not far from beach and close to shops and restaurants. Big back yard & space in kitchen and living room were great also.
