Front desk was very friendly! However the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate, somebody got stuck in the elevator for over an hour and had to be rescued by firefighters, valet was backed up into the street several times we had to park, and nobody cleaned our room/replaced towels while we were there Friday-Sunday.
The room was pretty and spacious, and I didn’t realize it only opened this year! The breakfast spread was awesome. I think it was overall a really awesome deal for the service they provide. Would come back again!!
The extra touches like fresh lavender sachets you could grab for your room, a sound machine in the room, plus new facilities was excellent. Bed was comfy and the room was spacious. Staff was so friendly and helpful. They remembered who I was during each interaction. Downside is lack of parking but everything else makes up for it!
This is a brand new hotel in a refurbished historic building. Loved how they restored and highlighted the original entrance foyer and created a tastefully modern lobby and restaurant area next to it.
Their $16 ‘European’ breakfast spread is probably the best I’ve ever had in a hotel for that price. Two made to order hot dishes available + a thoughtfully selected cold buffet including top notch cheeses and cold cuts, fresh fruit, yoghurt parfaits, etc.
All staff members were exceptionally friendly, especially Sandy at the front desk and Alexis at breakfast.
As far as the rooms, I was surprised by how much street noise can be heard on the lower floors in spite of double glazed windows (I assume the old building’s walls and insulation are the problem), but this was solved after Sandy kindly moved me to a room on the top floor.
Clean, comfortable, functional although decoration (or lack thereof) plus a very bland color palette for everything from walls to furniture does make one feel like in a hospital room.
Clean, modern, friendly staff. If you are into healthy breakfast options, it is a place for you, otherwise if you are looking for regular breakfast, they don’t have it.
Very clean and modern. Best hotel downtown by far. Best mattress and shower. The bar is amazing. Very hip.

Room was small. The shower and toilet was in same small room. The bar had very limited options. The breakfast was limited and cold, for the price. It was an expensive continental breakfast. My vehicle was broken into and the managers of both the hotel and valet never got back with me for several days. I’m actually still waiting for a response from the valet or hotel.
The hotel was very clean and staff were amazing. The only downside of the hotel was that the bed felt like a rock. Pregnant wife couldn't get comfortable, and I even thought the bed was way too firm. To us that is the most important part of any hotel stay. Other than that, the hotel was great!
Easy walking distance to the marathon! Convenient.
Very loud! Traffic like crazy outside our room until 3:30 am. Bathroom engineering is terrible, no privacy. Room setup just strange and not convenient.
Expensive breakfast, especially for a family where most hotels have the very same food complimentary. Expensive parking. We will choose a different place to stay when we come back to Wichita.
Hotel was impeccable, the location is great but a lot of homeless people laying around. Also, the noise in intolerable, cars with loud or no mufflers cruise up and down Douglas every night it does not matter if it is a weekend or a week day, and all night until 2, 3am, especially in the summer. Wichita downtown has deteriorated big time. so sad. Downtown used to be so clean and safe.
The lobby and bar area were fantastic and the staff were all wonderful. When we checked in, there was water leaking into the room from the shower and they were able to accommodate us with a new room immediately, no questions asked. The only downfall was the room itself. It’s a brand new hotel so of course everything was new, however the finishes in the room itself were just sub par and seemed cheap for how expensive the hotel was. It was also very small and the bathroom did not have much privacy due to the door being just a thin sliding glass door with no fan. The shower was just metal walls and the lighting in the sink area was awful for doing makeup or hair. I would definitely hang out in the bar again but the room itself was just meh. New, shiny meh, but meh nonetheless.
