We travel often with 2 dogs and 2 teenage boys for hockey tournaments. This has been our favorite pet friendly place to stay by far! The property is absolutely adorable with super smart upgrades! We were very comfortable and had no unmet needs what so ever!
We always have healthy foods to travel with, so don't often utilize hotel breakfasts, but my older boy grabbed a tray full of healthy filling breakfast options, was full and had plenty of energy for his game.
The innkeepers are very friendly, and it is apparent that they care deeply about the service they provide.
We loved our stay, and 10/10 recommend!
I stayed at Maple Terrace for five nights and brought my golden retriever with me. I worked remotely from the room most days, and it was an ideal setup—quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped.
The property itself is beautiful, with a stunning view of the neighboring horse farm that feels straight out of a postcard. My room was spotless, cozy, and well-appointed: comfortable beds, easy-to-reach power outlets at both the desk and bedside, and small conveniences that show real attention to detail (shower cap, makeup remover, hair dryer, etc.). The welcome chocolates for humans and treats for dogs were such a sweet touch.
The owner is wonderful—warm, attentive, and always available to make sure guests have what they need.
My dog absolutely loved it. While she desperately wanted to chase horses and explore the (equally gorgeous) cemetery—no, sweet girl, not allowed—we found an amazing 1/2-mile trail along the Green River that leads straight to Water Street with easy access to campus and Spring Street. It was perfect for morning walks.
This will be my go-to place whenever I visit Williamstown.

A perfect stay for our short trip to Williamstown. The front desk host/owner was very friendly. Our unit was spotless and the property was quiet. We will definitely stay again!!
Do yourself a favor and reserve at this special Motel. It is rare to encounter such welcoming hospitality and cleanliness. Our bathroom was spotless and the room was clean. The Breakfast was modest but outstanding with fresh organic strawberries and various breads. I can’t remember having such a good lodging experience such as this in the USA.
Excellent, the best pet welcome ever.
Appreciate the blanket, water bowl, treats.
They welcome dogs up to 100 lbs.
They have dog litter bags.
Fresh fruit and other offerings for breakfast.
Great location!
Great place, and the owners are very helpful. I’d give it five stars, but it’s a motel, so….
The back area is nice and it looks out to a rural setting. Williamstown is an easy walk through the graveyard and across a bridge - much nicer than walking along route 2.
The room was large, neat, and nicely appointed. The bedding was divine! The grounds, including pool, firepit, and related areas were lovely. The staff was ever solicitous. Could not have been better!
I had a feeling the moment we checked in that I’d wish for more time here—and sure enough, I did. Every corner felt thoughtfully cared for: outdoor spaces that invite you to linger, rooms that are both hygienic and comfortable, and a quiet, sprawling charm. The owners make bring a guest feel easy. If you’re in the Berkshires—or simply looking for an excuse to be—this inn alone is worth the trip!
I highly recommend the Maple Terrace Motel, where I spent three comfortable, pleasurable, quiet nights. The proprietors are so thoughtful and attentive to their guests, the swimming pool is crystal clear and clean, the lovely gardens are a great place to read and partake of the free breakfast. The location is ideal for visiting The Clark Institute, Mass MoCA, the Williams College museum and the main town street with restaurants, shops and a great little movie theater.
The grounds at the Maple Terrace Inn are LOVELY. Multiple seating areas surrounded by cottage gardens, a fire pit, and pool. The owners have turned a motor lodge into a little oasis.
