"We unfortunately weren't able to use the hot tub as it was raining or very windy and just wasn't pleasant to be outside. We missed seeing the sunset as well due to weather. Sad. But the place was charming, clean and easy to find! We would love to go back when we can use the outside. The fireplace instructions were a little confusing as it stated we needed to use the remote control only, however, it turned out the remote control was the little black box connected to the fireplace (we think??). That's what we used as we didn't see an actual "remote control". Hope that was the "remote control" you were speaking of. Also, the bedroom ceiling fan/light remote control on the wall as you walk into the bedroom was broken and we had a dickens of a time using the ceiling fan without the light on. I don't know how he did it, but my husband figured a way somehow.But all in all, I would give the space 5 stars as it was restful, relaxing and we slept so well on that comfortable bed and soft linens. Thanks so much!!!"

"This cabin is just a few minutes from Wimberley, but you are tucked away and cozy in the hill country. It is adorable and has a beautiful sunset view from the porch or firepit area. Make sure you know that the bed area is a loft that you need to be able to climb into. It's a little awkward, but totally doable, and the bed itself is very comfortable. Definitely recommend for a weekend away!"

"Friends & I stayed at Cedar Vista during our girls trip. It was wonderful. The views were so beautiful, especially enjoyable from the large covered porch during our morning coffee/tea. I would bet the sunset views are also gorgeous, but we weren’t back at the cabin by that time each night. We felt far enough out of town but were close enough for easy day/evening outings to Wimberley & San Marcos, which are fabulous locations with plenty to do and great food options. We’d come back to the cabin in the evenings to relax in the beautiful space. The furniture is comfortable and the tv is large. This property is also clean with no strong scents. I did use the washer and dryer, both front loading - usable at the same time. All appliances look new and the ones we used are working perfectly. Contact responds in a timely manner when contacted for any reason, from weeks before arrival through check out. I’m saving the information for this property for possible future stays! "
