Country Cottage Set In pretty Suffolk village with 2 local pubs, dog friendly

Relax at this unique and tranquil getaway. Designed on a single level, it features one bedroom, a well-appointed shower room, and a cosy living, kitchen, and dining space. The accommodation also boasts a small private outdoor patio, with table and chairs and a barbecue, providing a delightful space to relax. Also available for guests is a large grassed area to relax in the evening sun, or make use of the provided sun loungers to soak up the rays.

Pet-friendly, the cottage is ideally positioned in Ufford, with two outstanding village pubs a short stroll away. The charming, historic market town of Woodbridge is only 10 minutes away. with table and chairs and a barbecue.

I am happy to welcome parents with children and, for infants, can provide a travel-cot with bedding and towels and a highchair. I also have a sofa bed in the bedroom for an older child or extra guest and would provide an extra dining chair. Let me know if you require these and I will set them up before your arrival.

Ufford has two very good pubs in the village, The Ufford White Lion and The Ufford Crown, both only a few minutes' walk away from the cottage. There are also some lovely countryside walks to be found on the doorstep.

The Unruly Pig, winner for the third year of the Top 50 Gastropubs Award, is only 5 minutes drive away.

Only 3 miles from the town of Woodbridge, voted the happiest place to live in a poll by Rightmove in 2024, this beautiful market town has a large choice of pubs, restaurants, shops and coffee shops, as well as riverside walks. The archaeological site of Sutton Hoo is also on the doorstep. About 30 minutes' drive to the beaches, shops and restaurants in Southwold and Aldeburgh. Close to golf courses, fishing lakes and popular bird watching spots, Ufford is perfectly situated to be able to explore Suffolk.

What a stunning place

This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed at and would happily go back and recommend to friends too. Lovely quiet location with all the facilities you could need and a great host.

Fabulous place to stay

Perfect cottage

Excellent location for Suffolk coast visiting. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good kitchen facilities. Lovely decor. Beautifully situated near to the village church. Pretty gardens. Highly recommended.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Christina was a a welcoming and brilliant host and it’s clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into the cottage which has everything you’d need but more than that has some great touches to make it extra special. The village is quiet and peaceful with lovely walks and pubs nearby and is situated in an ideal place for visiting lots of sights and experiences of Suffolk. All-in-all, we couldn’t recommend Potts Cottage enough. We’ll certainly be back!

Beautiful and peaceful

The property had everything you needed for a great staycation. It was so peaceful, quiet and clean. Little touches from the host..bottle of wine in the fridge, cookies, were lovely. The bed so comfortable. Located for lots of things to see and do. Would stay here again.

Beautiful cottage and ideal location

The cottage was ideal for our stay, set in a beautiful setting and peaceful village. It was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed several countryside and riverside walks directly from the cottage. Snape, Aldeburgh and the coast are within a short drive.

Visit Sutton Hoo and surronds

This property is ideal for visiting Suffolk and in particular Sutton Hoo. They property is a small village with several local short walks and close to a couple of pubs, also within walking distance that serve good food. The cottage is well maintained and beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could ask for. The accommodation is perfect for 2 people.

Perfect place to stay

We stayed here for 7 nights and if we ever return to England from NZ we would certainly stay here again. Potts Cottage has everything one requires. It is beautifully appointed and even has a washing machine/dryer. Christina was very helpful and quick to come and help when we asked about the heating for example. We highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Comfortable cottage in good location

Ideal location for exploring Suffolk, with pleasant local walks from the door of the cottage. Well equipped cottage, clean and comfortable also well stocked with cleaning materials and other essentials. Appreciated the welcome pack. This was our second stay and will not be the last. Good that it is a very dog friendly cottage.

A Quite Week Away in Suffolk

The accommodation was spacious, clean and cosy and included all the creature comforts of home. The cottage was adjacent to the main house surrounded by well tended grounds owned by Anne and her daughter Christina who were obviously keen and knowledgable gardeners. They were warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome during our week long stay.

Peaceful

Our second visit but equally as good as the first. Cottage is cute and has everything you need. Peaceful area, can just hear the birds and the church bells, but only a few minutes walk to two pubs with good food. Excellent base for discovering the area. Host Christina is really communicative, helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location

The host Christina is super helpful but not at all intrusive which is perfect. She was very helpful before arrival and there was lots of useful information in the property about walks etc. The property itself was very clean and presented to a high standard. A comfortable bed and powerful shower were welcome after days out! We had two small dogs with us too and they were made to feel welcome with outside space etc. Good wifi, smart TV and a well equipped kitchen make this a highly recommended place to stay :-)

Charming property in historic village

The property was perfect for myself, my husband and our cocker spaniel. It was comfortable and cosy with a lovely bed and great shower. Communication with the owner, Christina, was perfect. Everything we could have wanted was available at the property including treats for the dog. We enjoyed visiting some lovely towns and villages in the area. Unfortunately the stormy weather stopped us from going walking as there are many footpaths nearby. We would certainly return to this property.

A calm haven and charming property

I stayed at this property to attend a wedding nearby and it couldn't have been more perfect. The property was immaculately clean and well appointed, with charming personal touches and elegant furnishings. There is a beautiful cosy atmosphere and real homely feel to the place. I can't remember the last time I slept so peacefully! Nestled in a gorgeous Suffolk hamlet this property is a slice of heaven. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay I'll definitely be back!

Wanted for nothing

The whole process of renting Potts Cottage was painless. Great communication with Christina ahead of arriving. The cottage was perfect, there was nothing that we said, oh we should have brought … along. Very well thought out accommodation and beautifully clean.
