The cabin has well water. in October 2024 we installed a new water filtering system that addresses the sulfur smells that sometimes occurred. Bottled water is provided for drinking, cooking and making coffee.

The path to the river is a sloping old tractor path with an elevation drop of about 50 feet. Depending on your pace it may take several minutes to walk this path.

The surroundings, thoughtful amenities and comfortable bed made our trip fun and relaxing. Perfect place for those looking for a peaceful and quiet retreat.
The house and property were so lovely and very well maintained. Numerous amenities and well stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, toiletries, food and drinks. Very private and quiet. Wonderful riverbank to relax on.
The Rivah Retreat was an exceptional, cozy place to be for a quiet getaway. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided to make you feel right at home. The views and scenery were gorgeous and the hot tub was the perfect way to end each evening.
A great cabin and riverfront place - the cabin is rich with amenities and perks - snacks, food, good cutlery, linens, robes(!) etc - super clean and user friendly - and what a lovely spot! If you are fishing, we probably caught 60 fish each over 2 days - and access is right there and super easy. Will definitely be back!
We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time at The Rivah Retreat. The location is perfect for a quiet time away from it all. The cabin is so cozy and homey. The hot tub and fireplace and fire pit are just great! The amenities are first class. We'll be back! Our Christmas was just the best!
This cabin has everything you could want for a cozy, peaceful getaway. The river and view are beautiful, the beds are so comfy, the hot tub and firepit are both delightful and the little touches that make the place comfy and welcoming are never ending. It feels super remote and peaceful but is also just a quick drive off the highway. I cant say enough good things.
We had such a great time at the Rivah Retreat and are so grateful for communicative owners and such a welcoming stay . The cottage and grounds were beautiful and tucked away into a gorgeous true retreat outside Woodstock . The home was immaculately clean , the beds were comfortable , and the house was packed with so many little special extras and amenities not even included in the listing that made us feel so taken care of ! The hot tub was perfect, we enjoyed breakfast on the lovely patio, used the well -stocked kitchen , and saw the sights around Woodstock, which included an awesome hike right in town and a picturesque evening at the vineyards. It was a perfect stop during a few days exploring Shenandoah! Thank you again!
Good Location, just incredible! The house is so clean and upgraded with lots of essential items, just amazing! Will definitely come back again soon. We had great times!
This property was charming, filled with thoughtful touches and comfort items. It's was quiet, off the beaten path, we could hear the river that was a very short stroll away. Loved the hot tub!
Great property!! Matt was extremely helpful in setting up a tubing experience. Took approximately 2 hrs. Cabin was decorated nicely, fully stocked with water and breakfast items( eggs, bacon, pancake mix). Would definitely stay again!!
We loved the place very beautiful location loved the hot tube. Was very surprised that the house comes with food for breakfast eggs and bacon we had a great time there and would definitely come back thank you again Brian
Cute cabin with lots of character and amenities - spices, condiments, games, books, and movies. We only stayed a few days but it was very comfortable for our family of four (teenage kids). We hiked at Seven Bends and fished the river by wading below the rapids and using our newly learned fly fishing skills from the Murray Fly Fishing shop in Edinburg. A very nice getaway!
