Whitwell is a brilliant place to base your holiday, it is a stunning village set just to the east of the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. Whitwell comes with stunning buildings boasting a good range of pubs, shops, and eateries to choose from. The village is also home to the ancient woodland of Whitwell Wood, spanning over 170 acres waiting to be explored. Derbyshire is packed with beautiful places to visit. Nearby there is Worksop, Sheffield, and Chesterfield, all offering fantastic buildings and lots to do. Take a trip to Sherwood Forest National Park, where you can follow the trails amongst the glades, or take part in a spot of birdwatching. Creswell Crags is the home of the prehistoric man and is somewhere nice to visit, being an enclosed limestone gorge on the border between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
