A boutique hotel experience for budget hotel price. Perfect location with a lovely view from the room, so clean and comfortable. And the staff are so friendly, they held our luggage before check in and after check out. The breakfast was included with the stay and was delicious PLUS included lattes. We had a truly amazing stay, I wish I could give 6/5 stars!

This is the sweetest and most endearing spot. The building itself has so many charming old quirks, like many stairs, exposed beams, antique furniture. I loved the location right in the thick of things, though probably not the quietest area if that's a concern. There were biscuits with our in room coffee, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is the best value and size we have ever had on our travels. Highly recommend if you don't require any accessibility accommodations in lieu of stairs!

Not only was this a very cute hotel, but it was exceptionally clean and fairly recently renovated. The room was comfortable and fairly quiet. The attached restaurant was exceptional and breakfast was included in the room price. Not just any breakfast but a full breakfast that you could choose off of their regular menu. All of the staff was very personable. The location was absolutely exceptional, and I could not have asked for a better place to stay in York.

The hotel is tucked away off the street a stones throw from the Minster giving great close access to the sights of York. Breakfast was very tasty, served in the restaurant and the room although small was full of Georgian character. Bed was very comfortable, usual coffees and teas available and staff friendly and helpful (extra milk, free water) - definitely going again.
