Very practical place for a solo traveller
Kitchenette facilities were helpful and a Co-op not far away for picking up food. A
comfortable stay for a night before needing to be in York for work.
Great place to stay. Handy location with just a short walk into town. The rooms had all we needed. The beds were a little uncomfortable and noisy but not too bad. Otherwise, all good.
Lovely clean and spacious accommodation. The staff were helpful and polite, and the room was very nicely presented. It was very nice having a fridge and worktop space within the room.
To get into York city centre it was a very pleasant walk along the river, away from main roads.
Would happily recommend.
What a fantastic find.
Spotless.
Beautifully decorated and finished
Loved the little kitchen
Small dining area
Highly recommend this little gem
Will definitely be returning
Ideally located on a fairly busy main street, still quiet though, clean room, nice walled garden, only minor issue was lack of drawer space and the bin was too small for a longer stay, nice mini kitchen too, be aware internet can be intermittent. All in all a pleasant place to stay and I would certainly return.
Very helpful manager, she kindly upgraded us and made a wonderful effort for our 10 year anniversary.
Clean and comfortable room, set in an idyllic location.
All in all a great stay.
Nothing could be done about the parking situ, I advise to get there early for a space.
We would happily return.
The family room was very nice, however the room would be better for 2 adults and 2 children as the sofa, which turned into a bed, was too narrow and short for 2 people. The bedroom doesnt have any access to any windows as there was a double door balcony which was unable to open due to safety, but it was very hot. However the staff were very nice and gave us an extra fan. The parking was good and close on the premises but had it be paid for.

Nice couple, lovely room , just toilet was very cramped to use 😇
Room was immaculate . £15 per night to park car at property I found this a bit pricey but parked there anyway . If you want an early check in it’s £25 which once again is very pricey but you can park up and leave your stuff if you don’t want to pay this . If anything the bathroom is on the small side. Bed was very comfy . Would use again
Beautifully decorated rooms, powerful shower, coffee pod machine with Costa coffee, location to town centre is great. Staff were brilliant dealt with requests promptly, I would highly recommend this guest house.
Room was spacious and spotless with clean and tidy kitchen /bathroom.Bed and pillows were perfect ...best nights sleep ever ! Staff were very friendly especially the receptionist Myriam? Parking was available on site.Hotel is well located...Just a walk or bus ride into city .Will be looking into using this hotel next time we visit York
This hotel was very hit and miss. It was recently refurbished but still really lacking - for example the bathroom was so tiny you could barely fit on the toilet seat without banging your knees on the sink. The bathroom door wouldn’t close. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. They also charged £15 to use their car park (though street parking right outside is free) The saving grace was that the room was very well sound proofed since our neighbor was the loudest hotel guest I’ve had the pleasure of staying next to. In the hall it was as if I was at a disco party but in the bedroom it was barely audible. I can forgive a lot but the discomfort of the bed was horrible, barely slept a wink, so overall couldn’t recommend it.
