Villa Poggioli is a contemporary villa with sea views, officially rated 5 stars, set on the hillside above Pinarello in the hamlet of Poggioli, southern Corsica. It has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms sleeping 12. The beach is 2 km away on foot.

THE POOL AND THE SPA

The pool measures 12.5 by 4 metres and stays heated to 29°C from late March to early November, and outside that period on request. This is what makes the villa work well beyond the summer months: in spring and autumn the water is still a pleasure, once the beaches have emptied out. It is fitted with a submerged safety cover.

There is also a jacuzzi for five or six, set under a shaded terrace with sea views, along with a hammam and a gym. The gym is fully equipped: treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine, cross trainer, connected mirror, multi-gym and a connected television.

LIVING SPACES

An outdoor kitchen with a plancha grill, large dining tables, a table tennis table and a floodlit pétanque court for long evenings. A PlayStation 5 in the sitting room. Seven televisions in all: one in the sitting room, five in the bedrooms and one in the gym.

The villa is built for larger groups and family gatherings: everyone finds their own space, indoors and out.

GETTING THERE

Access is by a private concrete drive, a little steep towards the end but manageable in any type of car, up to the property's electric gate.

THE SETTING

The bay of Pinarello, its fishing village, its restaurants and its Genoese tower are close by. The Cavu valley and its natural rock pools, the beaches of San Ciprianu and Cala Rossa, and the shops of Sainte-Lucie-de-Porto-Vecchio are a few minutes' drive away. Porto-Vecchio, Bonifacio and the Alta Rocca make comfortable day trips.
