"Perfect location among artsy and understated residential area. Bus C6 takes you directly from Lyon Train Station to the bottom hill where the hotel, an ancient fortress, is on top of the hill overlooking the river and Lyon. A nice 15 minute flat road or a quick shortcut stairs walk to the hotel. I came a couple of hours early and the staff put my luggage in storage and even found a vase for my 1 single rose (a Mother’s Day gift). There are excellent family run French restaurants and bakeries...

"Stayed here for only one night. It was a rainy day so unfortunately having the view of the river was not as nice as we would have wanted. Can’t choose the weather, though! It is a lovely hotel in a great area of Vieux Lyon, just around the corner from a really good wine bar. Went downstairs for coffee - it was delicious - and we had it with some praluline we bought the day before! "

"It is exactly what you expect from a 2 star hotel. It does what it says on the tin and it does it fairly well. You are warned about the staircase situation, granted. This being said it is ludicrously difficult to manage with luggage. "
