Very nice hotel and staff. The location is very good for the old town access by funicular and the area around the hotel is very intersting with the Basilica and Roma amphitheater nearby. I would stay here again.

The Fourviere hotel was a wonderful surprise. The property is amazing, the staff were exceptional and the facilities were great. We would absolutely stay at this property again next time we are in Lyon.

Beautiful hotel; a renovated convent with comfortable rooms, fine dining and a small pool and spa area - perfect relaxation after our long drive. An added bonus for us was to be able to next morning , visit the superb Roman amphitheater , literally at the bottom / end of the hotel grounds .

We loved the Fourviere Hotel. The former convent is in a quiet location, albeit at the top of a hill overlooking Lyon. The staff were very friendly, the food good (reflecting traditional Lyon styles) and the cleanliness of a high standard. The breakfast was plentiful. The spa is small and can get crowded at certain times, while the outside pool was very nice, along with the gardens, in which we relaxed as the weather was good. The local funicular normally runs from 5am until midnight, making the journey to and from the old town easy.

The hotel was perfect for us. Beautiful location. Close to Norte Dame Cathedral and Roman Amphitheater ruins. When you want to go to Old Town for shopping or great restaurants it’s a short ride down the hill on the Furnicular. Easy Peazy. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel is historical and beautiful. We would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Overall the hotel is great, very special architecture and history. Staff were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. Food and beverage was less impressive, very expensive and average. Cocktails were a mixed bag with some basic classics not well executed… and at this price point they should be excellent.

We loved the building and the view. We did have a car which we didn’t need with this location and left parked for 5 days. Just a short walk down the road were amazing Roman ruins and a Basilica with a funicular to the old town across the street. The steam room wasn’t working which was a slight disappointment. Overall, amazing stay!

Beautiful property, very well located with many places to visit within walking distance. Parking is very easy. A unique experience because of the converted use of an old building. Really like the sustainability aspect of services as well. Enjoyed sauna and spa too! Will stay there again!
