CityHub Reykjavik
8/10 Good
"This was a bit of a mixed bag (but almost all good). On the one hand, the staff, service, amenities, and available breakfast were amazing. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and even let me use their fridge for my medication, which I really appreciated. I also felt like when I asked them questions about themselves, they really started to open up and we had a great time getting to know one another! I love getting to know people, so that was truly a great experience. The con I have is the room itself. I loved the aesthetic and how clean the room was, but the pictures made them seem a lot larger than they actually are. I'm a bit claustrophobic, so it was a bit of a surprise and it took some getting used to. By the second night it was much better. Mostly because the bathrooms are amazing and you have the option to use the hot tub until 10 PM, so outside of your room there is plenty of room to spread out. If not for the size/layout of the room I would have given this place 5 stars, because the staff and amenities are just amazing. If you're not claustrophobic and you don't mind feeling a tiny bit crunched while packing your luggage, this is a great place to stay!"

"The hotel has a lot of unique charm. Much better than the cookie-cutter corporate crap, the vibe is hip & comfy, and I appreciated all the common areas. As expected, the private rooms are much nicer than the dorms, which are cramped and not the most comfy. Location is excellent - and the bar downstairs is a nice touch."
