"The Saracens is old but has character, the staff were very good and the food was brilliant (Chardonnay very nice too!) The stairs were a bit steep and beds a bit narrow. Not expensive, don't do breakfast but a few doors away lovely café did! A pleasant stay."

"We stayed for two nights in one of the recently refurbished rooms. Very clean and had everything you would need. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had breakfast both mornings and couldn’t fault it. There is parking, but it is limited. Our friends stayed in the older part of the hotel and said whilst there rooms was dated, it was very comfortable and clean.We would definitely stay here again."

"It's 1:02 in the morning and still the pub is full of drunk, loud people singing at the top of their lungs. Management must be encouraging it since no one has told them to go home. When you have guest rooms, you should practice respect for your guests who are trying to sleep!! Never again will we come here. "

"Terrible place to stay. The shared bathroom had broken and dirty toilet seat, the music in the bar each night was loud and raucous. Couldn't get any sleep. Left before the end of planned stay - Don't stay there!"

She recommended some nice pubs for an evening meal which were fine. My only problem was that there was no television and the WiFi was intermittent so I was at a bit of a loss how to keep occupied. "

No email received and all my bookings for the Ibis at Swindon are still live. I checked in next door at the Holiday Inn express, she explained that they were fully booked and there are plenty of hotels in Swindon. I asked to see the manager of the HI express and fortunately they managed to get me a room which I had to pay for...
