"Amazing ryokan style hotel, highly recommended. The omakase dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Surpassed our expectations with the hotel and the surrounding area. Beautiful place with lots of outdoor activities depending on the season. We visited during November and it was the most beautiful place we seen in Hokkaido, including the drive into and out of it. This place would be our top priority when we visit Hokkaido again. "

"This property would be good for self drive definitely, but not advisable if u are taking public transport. It is 2KM from the bus terminal. The host provided a really powerful heating panel which we also used to dry all our clothes and was hot and crisp after 10 hours. Host was very kind and friendly. Lake Toya was raining the two days we were there so we checked out after 1 day unfortunately. "

"The staff were amazing! Best price in town. We took the shuttle every morning and then walked back after skiing. The breakfast was free and I decided to skip it but the Ramon restaurant at night was really tasty. Our skis were safe and in a warmed locker. Really wonderful overall."

"We slept on the loft as we did not want to move the heavy futon down and I got bitten by bed bugs! Not worth the price and it's a 2km walk up and down slope to the lake area."

"The room is very spacious and clean. However there is limited room services and only very basic amenities in the room e.g only a kettle with two mugs. Water pressure is low, hence take forever to fill the spa bath. By the time the bath is filled, water turn cold. Don't see many people around. Staff in reception is very helpful but not always present. Overall stay is good but prefer hotel with daily room service and cleaning. 1 day stay is o.k. but not longer."

"Property is operated like a vending machine. No staff to check you in. This was ok. The rooms were very small and cramped but I was expecting this as we booked budget accommodation. Would have given it more stars except they only provided 1 pillow each which meant that we didn’t sleep well. "

"Bathrooms are shared but everything else about this location is lovely. The staff is wonderful. The convenience to shops, restaurants, and the ski mountain are excellent. The breakfast was good and the pleasant common area was a great place to meet people, relax, and enjoy. The rooms are simple but pleasant and there's even storage for ski/snowboard equipment. I will definitely return."

"Very nice owner/hostess. This is a very clean typocal Japanese pension. Nothing fancy except the toilets, which are the high tech heated seats/bidet. Conveniently located in Hirafu village with easy ski access. "
