"Easy to find and all staff were friendly. Check-in straightforward. The room was a little dated but clean and quiet. Good amount of free parking although some deep potholes on the driveway. Good selection for breakfast and the full cooked breakfast was excellent. An enjoyable two night stay and would definitely recommend. "

"Budget level hotel. Bit disappointed that Google rate at 3*, but would be surprised with 2 stars. Friendly staff and it's clean but all looks tired and worn & in desperate need of major make over. Painted over damp around window, bottom of bathroom door frame rotting, rust on shower pipe work. Also our room was right alongside main road so quite a bit of noise."

"The hotel is on top of a lovely, vibrant, atmospheric pub (hence some music until late). Very friendly welcome, helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere in the pub. The room a little more basic than expected, our "standard" TV did not work but after some help with the WiFi we could get Neflix etc. Bed was clean and comfy, the shower nice and powerful, bathroom a little on the small side. There was a kitchenette however which was great, with kettle and microwave oven, could be useful if staying...

"We were initially given a room on the first floor, but on returning after going for a meal, we were asked to move, to a room on the ground floor. After five minutes we were asked to move again to the first floor, next to our original room!. The receptionist was very apologetic. We think the bathroom needs updating, it has a shower over the bath, but no hand rails, so getting in and out, can be difficult, as there is nothing to hold on to."

"Lady doing check in was lovely , super friendly and helpful . Couple of issues resolved quickly after a few laughs . TV positioning and size bizarre . Would recommend displaying WIFI login details in the rooms in future . Room needs a bin , not just a bathroom bin . Good close parking, big spacious room with a nice comfy sofa . Lots of potential in room , but in need of updating . "

"Place was cheap which was good, ok for money I suppose though cleanliness was iffy as were amenities in room eg socket not working, tap iffy, window blinds really dirty… Heating was definitely working, room was piping hot lol"

"When I arrived there was no one to show me to my room. I phoned the number on my booking but they could not find any record of me having booked with the itinerary number I was given. They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). He showed me a double room but the toilet was broken, a sign in the door saying do not use. I asked for an alternative room with a working...

"Initially, there was some ambiguity about the check in, however as soon as I contacted the service provider, the manager arrived at the property in person and solved the issue. I didn't expect that prompt and kind reaction in response to my problem. I'm sure their business will flourish swiftly as they have put their customers' satisfaction at the centre of it. They are caring and fair and I wish them prosperous years a head."
