"Hi , my stay at the Ivy Tree was a tremendous experience from start to finish. The staff were kind , Helpful and caring for their guests. The food was excellent with so much choice . "Bit annoying that the bar was being refitted during my stay so choice of drinks very limited. Room ok, bit dated and walls evidently VERY thin! Staff were great, food was pretty good. Quiet location, plenty free parking. WiFi a little weak."

"Excellent service & staff. All staff found to be very friendly. Breakfast menu good. Property about half a mile from centre of south shields with metro & bus stations. Pleasant walks through local parks & along coast nearby. Parking - widely available as free spaces outside along whole length of road & nearby side roads. Our car left entire duration of our stay as we made use of very good public transport. Excellent base for staying near Newcastle or travelling nearby. Would definitely recommend...

"Staff members extremely helpful and the room is spacious enough for single occupancy. Tea and coffee facilities are available and the bathroom is adequate with my preference of a walk in shower. Ponteland is a 20 minute walk where there is extensive bars and restaurants. Newcastle is a short drive away and also is accessible by the metro line from the airport terminal, which is a 5 minutes walk from the property."

"Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay."
