"The parking lot was new. The exterior of the building was new, as was the restaurant. However, past the check-in desk, you were transported 60 years into the past, as you entered the un-remodeled portion of the building. The stairs were old Formica, with a metal railing with yellow paint chipping off, and a burgundy-brown fabric as wallpaper that was sagging in places. "Vincenzo the host was incredibly kind in answering questions about the area and by the end of my stay I considered him a friend that I would invite to my home. Incredibly personable and from what I saw from other guests he took the time to accommodate to their needs. For someone traveling to Calabria for the first time I would recommend staying here as a traveler looking for kindness and peace during your vacation. "
