"Hard to find the hotel, tucked back behind a Comfort Inn that was is much disrepair. The Hampton Inn looked nice from the outside, the hotel lobby and staff were also nice. I was placed in a room that was handicap accessible - a huge door to the bathroom and a lot of open space, with dated furnishings. The room was dimly lit, the black out curtain was a bit tricky to manipulate, I found a sign that told me how to work it. It appeared that previous patrons tried to pull it down without success....

"Stayed here a couple weeks for work. Front office, and maids extremely courteous, but rooms pretty run down for the price. $75 isnt bad, but ive stayed in $50 a night rooms that were in better condition. Built in restaurant is a bonus"

"Overall room stay was good. Carpet in room had sticky areas. Room door handle only worked if you pulled up and had to slam door to engage lock. Staff said it was on the repair list, just keep trying it. "

"It's always a nice quiet clean spot to go to in San Marcos, very good continental breakfast, coffee & lemon water is available all day. This hotel also offers an indoor pool as well as a gym. We don't have any complaints about this hotel, it has been great every time we have stayed."
