"Every time we travel to Taupo we stay at Mototere holiday park. It is clean, well maintained and friendly staff. Trout fishing over the road is good. Trucks passing on main road through the night we thought would be a problem, after our first stay it didn't become an issue at all. Only 15 minutes travel from Taupo it is a excellent place to rest up and relax. Thank you Mototere holiday park, we will be back"

"The entire booking through Expedia online was a scam. There is NO Lake Haven Suites in Taupo. I demand a full refund. The address given on the confirmation email is that of Cobb & Co. There is a Lake Haven Apartments, but they don't take bookings through Expedia and they had no record of a booking in my name. SCAM"

"We were extremely disappointed to be confronted with a run down house which was badly in need of maintenance and nothing like the photos on the website. Tired after driving thirteen hours we viewed the room and facilities, Room was tiny and bed/bedding very worn, barely room to get around the bed, door was locked with a dead lock and on the outer of the door was a patch of black board paint with our surname written in chalk. "Great hostel with very friendly staff! We stayed in a private ensuite which was newly renovated and looked great and was very clean and big enough. The only issue we had was with the water temperature regulation in our ensuite shower, but they said they would look into it. The location of the hostel couldn't be better in the center of Taupo, just a minute's walk to the lake and nice restaurants. Definitely recommend staying at BoBs!"
