"I booked this hotel mainly for its airport shuttle. Even though there’s only one to the airport in the morning, they went above and beyond to help and accommodate me. The room was massive and provided absolutely lovely views. I do have tattoos so they had to be covered when entering the bath. The building is old and smells of moisture, which I think comes with running an onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. "

"We arrive at the Komatsu Airport at 9 PM. The Route-Inn shuttle picked us up a 9:15 PM and took us right to the hotel. The English speaking manager explained to us the details for taking the Route-Inn shuttle to the train station the next day. In the morning, we enjoyed the free breakfast buffet which had an excellent selection of food. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well."

"A wonderful stay. The morning service at the temple was a profound experience. The introduction to zazen was great, though Japanese speakers will get most out of this - ditto the lecture before morning service. The meals were excellent, and everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. All together, this short stay was a true highlight of my month in Japan. If you’re staying over a Tuesday, you should be aware that (all?) the restaurants in Eiheiji village seem to close on that day. I’m sure...

"A nice Ryokan Hotel. It's rice theme is carried through in the hotel decor as the area is surrounded by rice fields. Good concept & architecture or interior design. Hotel is next to a fast flowing river & tall Bamboo grove which give it a unique continuous sound & calming ambiance....next to your room. May be due to overall economic downturn, the external/exterior area suffers from some wear & tear & maintenance. Some sprucing up of the exterior would help freshen up the hotel. Otherwise, the...
