"The only negatives I have for this property are that the hot water went away very quickly, there was no stopper for the bathtub, and the automatic lights were hard to turn on in the morning out in the hallway. It’s walkable distance to cite de carcassonne, but it is on the far end of town, pretty far away from the train station. It took me about 45 minutes in the rain. "

"Staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room a bit compact but had all that was needed. Behind was a bit grim and the eating out area could do with landscaping. We would go again. "

"Lovely hotel. Bedroom was a good size and beds were very comfy. Bathroom was a little outdated. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was full and couldnt accommodate us for dinner. The rest of the town was quiet so was a struggle to find somewhere. Hotel overall was lovely and good experience."

"The location is in a small village in the mountains and driving in and out is not easy. The property itself is a bit dated but is very charming. The staff and service were excellent. Note that the price does not include breakfast. We stayed on the third floor and internet was unavailable le in the room - we had to go down to the lobby for internet connection. Breakfast and the restaurant were great."

"We stayed self catering in a standard 2 bedroom villa located on a hill - a really peaceful and scenic location, within the Vayamundo Quillan complex. Most of the other people staying were Belgian and French (and we're British) but that was OK for us. Our daughter made friends with kids in the swimming pool without needing to speak each other's languages! "Chateau Cavanac has the most beautiful pool i have ever experienced. The food was very good but you had to have 3 courses for dinner which you can do for a couple of days but after that we would have gone out to eat dinner. The local wines that came with the meal, i thought were Good The rooms are amazing, full of old world charm (and surprises in the old tower anyway) The whole place is very peaceful and relaxed.
