"The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. We ate lunch in the clubhouse which was nice. The spa area was well presented and clean. Definitely worth a visit. The room was clean apart from the cobwebs. High dusting required. Bed was comfy enough. We had one of the older rooms. It was all perfectly adequate. The only criticism is the weird noises. Room was clean and reasonably comfortable, though rather small and I found it rather stuffy at night (though an electric fan was available in the room). Hotel is fairly central, convenient if arriving at Colchester Town Station and for town centre. It's not luxury but reasonable value for what I paid. Staff seemed quite welcoming too. "

"What a wonderful place to stay! The lodge we stayed in was perfectly suited to us. Loved the veranda and the table and chairs so we could sit outside in the evening with a view across the lawn and to the trees. Breakfast was a feast - only disappointment was that we were only there for one night. We plan to return and stay for longer next time. "

"The White Hart is a lovely hotel and pub set in the charming village of Coggeshell. We stayed bed and breakfast for 2 nights. The manageress, Nicky, and her staff were welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean, inviting and quiet; the bed was especially comfortable, and we slept well both nights. We really enjoyed our breakfasts, there was lots of choice for both the continental style and the cooked breakfasts, the food was of good quality and plentiful. We can heartily recommend...
