"The room and hotel were surprisingly sleek and really well designed - nice to have air-conditioning and a balcony! On a street a block away from the main walkable part of town and a lovely river walk. One small complaint - no Kleenexes in the room! A problem with for someone with bad allergies."

We actually made friends with Chief Susanne and her daughter Sibylle and look forward to our next stay at the Hirschen. Menzenschwand is a typical small blackforest village and the Hirschen maches that typical Blockforest flair. Although Hirschen was firts built in 1733, it has been updated to a first-class modern hotel."
