"Hotel Sonnenberg was very clean and its location on the hill provided wonderful views, even though it rained the whole timescale were there. The breakfast was excellent and the staff members were all so helpful with helping us with directions, figuring out transportation, etc. I highly recommend this hotel and even better if you have a vehicle, as it’s a bit outside of Lucerne. Still manageable even if you don’t have a vehicle, though, with Uber in to town. "

"My stay at this hotel was pretty faultless . I enjoyed myself. There is an 18 hole golf course on site which if id had my clubs would have made it most excellent as the course looked very well maintained. The bed was uncomfortable due to memory foam hole in centre . The service was very good and also i couldnt have wished for a better breakfast each morning , that was most welcome "

"Checking in minor problems "not" caused by owners but Ai communications. We missed an email with instructions. Even though problem not the owners they upgraded our room. Nice touch. Want to compliment "Eveline" at desk who really went out of her way to make sure our stay was positive. Breakfasts were great. Would return here in future without hesitation. "

"Always a fabulous stay at the Berchtold. Super covenient to public transportation, clean, nice rooms, great staff, and great food. If you are there at the holiday season, try to get a reservation in to the Raclette chalet as early as possible since it books up really quickly! The Berchtold is our go-to hotel any time we are in Burgdorf or the Bern region. "
