"If you want a real getaway weekend this is the place for you. You need to be prepared to travel on some backroads but once you get to Alpine Lake it is beautiful. The internet was out almost our entire weekend and I did report to the management three times without hearing back from them. The beds were very comfortable kitchen was stocked just okay in my opinion. We appreciated the cleanliness. "When we first walked in the property, we noticed a weird musky smell. The outside lights on the back deck did not work so we could not light the backyard up at night. The pool table downstairs is not what it appears the area is too small to actually use the pool table and the downstairs has a very creepy feel to it. The hot tub is the best part of this property. The master bedroom bed was comfy. The kitchen was nice. Definitely a nice community very quiet. "

"Our family had a great time staying at the Refuge. There was plenty of space for both sets of grand parents, our kids, and us. The house was beautiful and was even decorated for the holidays. The close proximity to Deep Creek and state parks, along with the heated pool made it a great stay. We will definitely be back."
