"The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have some difficulty with getting the toilet to flush and the staff came up to our room and made sure it was functioning properly. They also were able to print our boarding passes for our return flights for us. The breakfasts offered a wide variety of hot or cold foods and drinks. Staying in Sterling allowed us to visit sites in Glasgow, Ayr and Edinburgh. We only had a 30 minute drive to Edinburgh Airport for our return flights to USA."

"The floor in the bedroom was uneven with a slope coming down from the window towards the bed. This combined with the lined carpet made my head sore and knock my balance off. I asked for a change of room and was told there were only twin rooms available which I did not want"

"Stayed in the hotel before and had enjoyed that stay. So felt it was best to book there again. This time the room I was allocated had a shower over a bath but having a disability made it impossible to use. The bathroom floor creaked quite badly every time anyone were to walk over it. "Lovely clean and comfortable lodge. Loads of space. Nice bathroom with bathtub and shower. Immaculate grounds. Really comfortable. Close to the village facilities. Despite our room being on the road, there was no noise heard. Slightly frosty reception on arrival, unlike other places on the WHW but the accommodation made up for it. Would stay again."
