"We had an enjoyable stay overall, despite a few minor inconveniences. The hotel benefits from a great location, and the availability of on-site parking was particularly convenient. We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example. We stayed in a family room, which...

"Very clean and new"

"The hotel is perfectly positioned as a base for the caves and mill. The rooms are clean and the staff helpful. Catering is a little quirky as the restaurant can't accommodate large numbers wanting to eat at the same time. We had an issue with a booking for dinner which they then could not honour, so we had to call in a pizza when already late, and then our pre-booked breakfast could not be accommodated without negotiation upon which we were given half an hour for a family of 4. "Als Geschäftsreisender auf der Durchreise war es in Ordnung. Das Hotel ist auch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war frisch gemacht und sehr lecker"

"Clean and modern."

"Great location, lovely pub and atmosphere. Lovely staff. Great size room, really comfy bed. Loved our stay would deffo recommend and stay again"

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"

"Modern, clean hotel, large rooms with seating area, large bathroom with lovely fluffy white towels, super king sized bed with crisp white sheets. Air conditioning throughout the hotel is a bonus but what really makes this hotel special is all the staff who are friendly and helpful. Extra £5 pp per day if you want cooked breakfast but well worth it as the choice is good."

"Good location and value for money Good for an overnight stay centrally located in wells"

"The outside lights were very bright shining into the room."

"Normally a very good hotel. Currently had an extension being built. So plenty of daytime noise. Had a broken shower that I’ve been informed will get fixed. However my main concern/problem was a member of staff called Lilac (or some similar). Rude just doesn’t cut it. Repeatedly interrupted her colleague at time of check in. So much so I asked the check in staff if they wanted to deal with her e"
