"The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. The village was lovely too and the location made easy access to Montgomery and Welshpool. A great base for people touring that area. Wish we could have booked for...
"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"A quaint old fashioned inn. Amenities a bit dated but all functioning. Bath with jets was a plus. Loved the provision of bottled water and little biscuits. Breakfast was a lovely continental affair. Only downside was the winding staircases that made taking luggage up and down difficult."
"Warm welcome upon arrival. Room was fabulous. Everything seemed brand new! Spacious en-suite with lovely shower. Really lovely evening meal. Will stay again most definitely."
"The staff were friendly and helpful and the Inn is really good. There was a lot of noise until past 1am which was unfortunate and kept us awake but as the bar was shut I’m not sure what the staff could have done to stop it."

The property was absolutely spotless, room was lovely and the food was incredible (would recommend the lamb shank - delicious!) "The room was clean and comfortable but we were in the top of the building so it wasn’t the best room available.
Which we didn’t mind as we it was reasonable value and we booked last minute.
However the people in the establishment were a little rowdy and we felt uncomfortable on the evening having our meal. The breakfast the following morning was unorganised with staff who didn’t know what to do and was definitely not worth the money."
