"We nicknamed the place The Japanese Grand Budapest Hotel. It’s a little worn down but has a lot of history and charm. The staff are lovely, the breakfast is huge and traditional, the bath and sauna are nice and relaxing, and it’s well located. Not modern and fancy but I would recommend."

The whole vibe was great, including provided kimonos, private dinner rooms, communal breakfast, multiple onsens, gorgeous garden. Meals were wonderfully traditional.Very laid back atmosphere but very professional and conscientious service. The front desk was very helpful."
