"Clean and nice room rental. Check in was difficult as hotel did not send code for entry. Hotel not staffed after 1330 so you need code to enter. However, bardtender at pub made calls for us to get code. Just a bit of delay."

"After a grueling day on the Camino it was a major disappointment that neither the lodging nor the village had any place to grab dinner. Had I know that I probably would not have booked here. That aside the place was comfortable and in a very scenic and quiet area. The breakfast was sufficient."

"Great place in an amazing scenic location. Hanging on side of cliff around stunning nature and a lovely buzzy beach. Our room hand big windows opening to the sight and sound of the sea. Hotel is a bit tired, but staff (relocated Greek behind the desk who knew every guest by name) and location made up for it."

"Very nice attention, in the middle of the mountain, with very friendly owners, and home made breakfast. Not a lot of options for dining close by, so be prepared to bring things for dining, or travel a little to get to a restaurant during the week (there are restaurants close by in Ea on the weekends, 5 minutes away from the property). Regardless of this, we liked a lot our stay in Udaibai Etxea."

"Found this hotel as a stop on the way from Spain to France .Friendly welcome, the restaurants was busy and really good value. Our waitress was a real card and humorous with it. Cannot really fault this place The is an area just up the hill - the Old Town, almost a film set from Dickens well worth a wander around here too."

Location is premium; close to a main highway, 30 to San Sebastián, less than one hour from Bilbao, 20 min from the Atlantic beaches of Deba, and a few more...
