"We loved staying at The Independence. The sheets and towels were soft, great shower, very clean and nice breakfast. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub, but when we arrived, they informed us it was broken. We played at the park and strolled around town instead. There is a cute ice cream parlor about one block away and we stopped at the wishing fountain and tossed in some pennies. All around a great stay. "

"We had a amazing time here there are bike trails just up the road and a waterfall across the street. For being where it is located it is a very peaceful place. The owners do have a full working blacksmith shop, chickens and small children running around but they never bothered us once. The chickens are just off the deck of the property but we never really heard them. The blacksmith shop is right next to the property and again the noise was very minimal. I would definitely recommend a stay here,...
