"Located close to train station. Metro and buses are across train station so one has to walk through thousands of people to reach exit (only inconvenience for two senior back packers with sore backs!). Hotel has great amenities and people are wonderful."

"You can view laundromat status remotely through the TV in your room, which is pretty cool. Unfortunately, there are only 4 machines, one was out of order, and most loads take 90 minutes. Compound that with other guests and you’re going to have a tough time getting a slot. Other than that, the hotel is a very short walk from the subway, and is otherwise very nice! "

Keeping in mind everything is just smaller in Japan, that would be my only con is there really is no floor space with 4 beds but other than that I have no complaints. "The Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto is very conveniently located within easy walking distance of the Kyoto Train Station. There are 2 convenience stores within 50 m. Restaurants and shops are located in the Kyoto Train Station The Nidec Kyoto Tower is within easy walking distance. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. "This hotel was nicely decorated, modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The family room was very spacious but unfortunately didnt have storage space, so had to live out of our suitcases. This appears to be normal for Japan though. Kyoto station is 10mins walk, Kujo station is 5mins and the bus stop is 5mins. This allowed us to travel all around Kyoto without any issues. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"Price was right, nothing fancy, but served our purpose. A place to sleep, nice clean bathroom, small fridge and table. We don’t spend a lot of time in our room, a place to sleep and clean up. This was good for that, and location was good. 20 min walk to Kyoto station, and about the same to Gion area. Would stay again. Couple in late 40’s. "
