"We had a very nice stay at the Stratton Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and staff was very nice and accommodating. Beware the spa, worst massages I’ve ever had. They are very nice but the young ladies had no idea how to masssage, the sheets were itchy and oils smelled off. Maybe other offerings are better and it’s very convenient. "

There were some very unhealthy choices. Was not happy about a 50m electricity pylon outside my window. "

"We had a fantastic 3 night stay here for a family wedding which was in nearby location. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with a huge walk in wardrobe and a decent supply of hangers. We had dinner on 2 nights and the food was of excellent quality and very generous portions with a great choice. "It's a lovely old place to stay. The staff is courteous and helpful. It feels safe and it was fairly quiet but for the gulls who make a fuss all night. My room was fairly small, but the bathroom was large enough. I had some trouble with hot water, and because of the heat it was troublesome to sleep. There's no AC, which makes sense given the location, but if you are staying in summer hopefully they can start providing some fans to create airflow. The bed wasn't terribly comfortable. "We chose this place because it was close to the City of Bath - but not in the City, and its on the River. It's a beautiful spot, the Old Mill waterwheel still runs, it's super peaceful. There is a restaurant, the food and service were great - even though the Chef only started a week ago. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Highly recommend the Old Mill Hotel in Bath."
